Art Moderne style transports me to a time when it feels like as a collective, we are on the brink of something exciting happening. Could this really be almost 100 years ago?! Art Moderne is characterized by long, smooth, parallel lines with soft corners and suggests the speed of the machine age… its round, smooth, and curvaceous shapes give the impression of fluid motion frozen in time. Inspired by beautiful artwork
attempting to entice cooler temps with these gorgeous dark spaces
the vibe is moody…and beautiful. we are feeling the pull to a simpler time…when thoughts can reach a level of calm that is undisturbed by modern technology…and to find the artists that can build these spaces, with intricate woodwork and carved stone…that is a treasure
I opened up the vault today from my first portfolio circa 2003 and wow I wish I had time to spend rendering by hand these days…
arches for days…incorporating arches into design softens the vibe…each of these arches has a slightly different shape, giving its own feeling…modern, traditional, clean. How do they make you feel?
Besides creating beautiful spaces, the best part of my job is the close relationships that I develop with my clients and my team. Working with someone to improve their home and ultimately their life is where my innate ability to connect with people feels like home. While researching ideas with clients, I come across the most beautiful things that other designers are producing. We are loving the simple feeling of these cabinets, face frame cabinets and also loving the reeding with the dark tone for a vintage feeling.
organic style inspired by natural forms, connecting architecture, applied arts, nature, and mathematics, so beautiful and connects us all to our world and universe
Crushing hard today on these two totally different spaces, but both nonetheless inspirational

for anyone graduating or who has a graduate in their life...it's a busy time of the year...i'm looking forward to future relaxation, whenever that may be!
my new love is marble fluting on the bathroom wall lending to a minimalist, calming feeling for relaxation

I couldn’t love this image by Cheyenne Randall of Lucy and Desi more…for me, the tattoos illuminate the beauty that these two saw in each other. It makes me wonder what it would be like if images appeared on our skin when we were around others….
How fun can a kitchen be...pink, purple, blue cabinets, curvy lines, fluting, gothic arches, whimsical lighting...FUN!

Designing custom furniture for clients is one of my favs and with so many local talented furniture makers in los angeles, it’s like a dream…this is a quick line drawing I drew of this iconic danish chair from the 1930’s, the little Petra chair with a swivel base, but I don’t think it will make the cut for production., what do you think?
Working as a designer means I get to explore in a playground of design by creative people like the people of I’m loving their Ojai collection and new outdoor furniture with boucle fabric
As our world becomes more and more entrenched in the digital world, it makes me realize how much of a treasure it is to find a talented artisan, who works with their hands. I’m oooing and ahhing over these three gorgeous custom metal applications, all local los angeles crafts men & women ❤️❤️❤️ photo 1 credit

My favorite part of the design process is the collaboration. It is the ✨best✨ feeling when my team is in sync and we work together through the obstacles that inevitably arise. Here I am with my team (classmates) during my early design days in the Hollywood Hills studying Case Study House 22 where we were coming up with ideas for our project and copying Julius Shulman’s iconic photo.
I love beautiful sustainably sourced items that also help people//good design + good intention = true beauty SARZA
Design is form of communication beyond words and one of the most rewarding parts of my work is connecting with talented artisans who share with me their passion. I had the joy of visiting Jonny in his shop last week so we can craft our next project together, me being the liaison between Jonny’s divine metal work and my genius wood craftsman to create something beautiful. I spent my time in his shop absorbing and collaborating so these are the only pics l got!
The beauty is in the details….I’ve been studying beautiful trim like in this bookshelf for a current project and beautiful shower with perfect tile layout.
Have you heard? Earthy, grounding neutrals are on their way in! I’m deciding between these two design schemes for a client’s eat-in area in their kitchen. What do you think…exotic cats or more subdued mohair velvet?

Client inspo for a creative entry
Come here, handsome. Some spaces are so gorgeous, they melt me. While looking for client inspo for black paneled walls, I came across this gorgeousness. Lately I have been gravitating towards black and gold…the vibe is strong and rich!
