Real name Chibuzo Nelson Azubuike born on 9th October 1986. He is known professionally as Phyno, is a Nigerian famous rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer. Tinubu blames university clerk for invalid graduation date, signature, logo, other anomalies on Chicago certificate
President Bola Tinubu has implicated a clerk at Chicago State University as responsible for blatant irregularities that characterised a certificate the school reprinted in his name, according to new court filings.

The Nigerian president said the unnamed clerk “unfortunately” made the errors as to the dates the school stated on his recently-issued certificate and when he actually graduated, thereby creating “the appearance of differences.”

Mr Tinubu’s statement was filed on August 23 by his counsel as part of his argument before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in Chicago. Judge Jeffrey Gilbert had given the Nigerian politician until August 23 to explain why his academic records at CSU should not be released to his political opponent Atiku Abubakar.

The Nigerian president said he was born on March 29, 1952, although he had also, at different times, listed 1954 as his birth year in the past. He also recently expunged his primary and secondary education from his records after it was discovered that the schools he listed under oath in his 1999 run for Lagos governor did not exist anywhere in Nigeria. Mr Abubakar believed the requested records would show which early and high papers Mr Tinubu submitted to CSU before he was admitted to study accounting there.

Mr Abubakar had sued to obtain Mr Tinubu’s school records under a U.S. statute that allows documents available in the U.S. to be subpoenaed for use as evidence in a foreign court…

“Unfortunately, in responding to the illegal and invalid subpoena, CSU made several errors,” Mr Tinubu’s attorneys said. “CSU issued a new diploma for Bola A. Tinubu, but incorrectly wrote the date of graduation as June 27, 1979.”

They also argued that the Nigerian court hearing the election petitions had already concluded hearing of the matter

CSO to Tinubu: Use N500b to fix refineries



….urges FG not to privatize refineries

AS subsidy removal takes toll on Nigerians with excruciating hardship, a Civil Society Organization, One Love Foundation, OLF, Sunday, called on President Bola Tinubu, to urgently fix refineries with the N500 billion saved from subsidy removal from May 29, 2023.

Speaking with Vanguard, the Founder and President, OLF, Chief Patrick Eholor, said the panacea to the current harrowing pain Nigerians and their livelihood is feeling remains fixing of the refineries.

According to Eholor, the fixing of the refineries should be done within three months.

He said: “These are critical times Nigerians are facing and we need to be aggressive and most especially in whatever method we are doing to ease off the plight of the people, the government has to be fast about it.

“As it appears now, it seems like the country Nigeria now solely depends on fuel and should fuel skyrocket then every other commodity prices will go up automatically.

“Haven explained that, life in Nigeria became difficult right from the time Mr President Tinubu was sworn-in and he verbally removed fuel subsidy, I think it will be unreasonable for him to use the N500 billion for something else, pump price of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, now is N600 and above, in other to ease the plight of the citizen it is best he fix our refineries as quickly as possible.

“The situation we are now the Tinubu-led administration should declare state of emergency on the fixing of the refineries.

“He should pump in much money as needed to reactivate them, if not all refineries but most of them. This to a large extent will ease off the burden of Nigerians.

In 1896, Thomas Edison, the great inventor who invented the electric bulb, was working on an idea to design a car when he heard that a young man who worked in his company had created an experimental car.

Edison met the youngman at his company's party in New York and interviewed him about the car. He was impressed! He had the same idea as the young man but he was considering electricity as the power source while the young man used gasoline engine to power the car. On december 9, 1914, Thomas Edison's laboratory and factory got burnt. He was 67years old and the damage was too extensive for insurance cover. Before the ashes were cold, Henry Ford handed Edison a cheque of $750,000 with a note saying that Edison can have more if he needed it!

In 1916, Henry Ford relocated his home to the building next to Edison's home and when Edison couldn't walk and was confined to a wheelchair by his doctors, Henry Ford also bought a wheelchair in his house so that he could run wheelchair race with his friend and mentor!
