Sisters' Hill Gasthaus and Cabin

Just finished one long term and one short term stay. Both went well and we were so happy to have such wonderful guests! We have long term guests for the next two years!! Sisters' Hill Gasthaus and Cabin will be deactivated on Airbnb temporarily due to the long term rental. We will keep everyone updated!

On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will be visible in the continental United States. Glimpse the full glory of the Sun’s outer atmosphere, or corona, visible only when the Sun’s disc is completely covered by the moon. To witness this incredible total solar eclipse, you will need to be within the 115-mile-wide path of totality. The path arches from Mexico to Texas to Maine. Just our luck!! Ringtail Pavilion: Named after the Ringtail Cat we have spotted near the pavilion, this quaint stone patio/pavilion was built over 30 years ago. It has been the spot for quiet dinners, friends and family celebrating Thanksgiving and just to star watch. At any point on the pavilion, you have beautiful views of the Seven Sisters Hills and surrounding Hill Country.

The Gasthaus: When we first toured the property and saw the Gasthaus (before the renovations), we though about removing it altogether. After a lot of planning and redesigning the footprint, Curry Creek Homes came in and transformed the place! We took the structure down to the bones and made a large open living space. We spent about two years living in it during Covid and building our home (again with Curry Creek Homes). So many wonderful memories were made in this cozy space. We LOVED living it in so much, we thought the next step should be sharing it. The kitchen is spacious and full of light! The big buttery couch is the best couch we have owned in 36 years! This space is open for 2 people, or even 4. We have had two tall adults sleep on the couch very comfortably. It has a King sized bed. We also have the Cabin available for rent as well. It fits two people with a Queen bed and a small kitchenette. See the next post for information on the Cabin!

The Cabin: When we first saw the Cabin, again, we thought we needed to level it. We decided to take it down to the bones, redesign it and create a cozy spot with lots of windows. Perry had his office in here during Covid and when we were building our home. Now, we have reimagined it again and are ready to share it with you! We have both of the properties listed on airbnb. We decided to list them together. This gives the guest an opportunity to stay in one, if there are just two guests, or both if there are 4 guests. We love the Cabin and hope you will too!

Sisters' Hill Property, is located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country near historic Sisterdale. The 30 acre ranch boasts the Gasthaus and Cabin which can be booked together or separately. Both are beautifully decorated and feature large picture windows showcasing magnificent hill country views. Enjoy the porch or limestone pavilion while sipping coffee or a refreshing drink. Dining, wineries and shopping in Sisterdale, Boerne, Comfort and Fredericksburg are a short drive from the ranch!
