By day, a mild-mannered digital storage technologist, Tom Coughlin has been an active volunteer with IEEE and in particular the IEEE Consumer Technology Society. He has been on the IEEE CTSoc BoG for 12 years, was VP of Operations and Planning as well as Membership and led the Society's Future Directions activities for several years, was also a distinguished lecturer for the Society, speaking all over the world on Digital Storage in Consumer Electronics. He contributes a regular column for the Consumer Electronics Magazine and is a reviewer for CE Transactions and CE Magazine articles and has helped with various conference committees. He currently serves as a VP of Standards for the CT Soc. Tom has also been President of IEEE-USA, Director of Region 6, General Chair of the 2011 IEEE Sections Congress in San Francisco and was Chair of the Santa Clara Valley CT Soc chapter as well as the SCV section and has volunteered in various IEEE committees and activities over the years. He has received awards from the SCV Section, CT Soc and MGA for his leadership.

Thomas Coughlin

Dev Sugandhika from IEEE Sri Lanka Section has been selected as a Regional Lead for Region 10 (BD, IN, SL, PK).

Dev will represent Regional 10 again this year, as he did last year. Dev has a lot of volunteering experiences with IEEE and he is an IEEE VoLT Graduate in 2020. He is the Founding Chairperson of IEEE PES Student Branch Chapter University of Jaffna. Currently Dev is volunteering as an IEEE Brand Ambassador, IEEE CSAC (Chapters Student Activities Committee) Sri Lanka Representative, Committee Member of IEEE PES Sri Lanka Chapter and the Editor of IEEE PELS Sri Lanka Chapter.

Dev is pursuing M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering at University of Moratuwa and working as an Electrical and Electronic Engineer at Brantel Lanka(Pvt) Limited.
