Self sufficient living

My fascinating little bees! They are Native Stingless bees (so perfect to have around kiddies) Tetragonula carbonaria, native to Sydney.

We get one small jar of honey twice a year, enough for us! They cannot fly far at all, so the honey changes flavor (and colour, pic in comments below) all the time depending on what is in bloom in our yard and next door!

You can see in the video some bees taking rubbish out and bringing pollen in. It’s so very therapeutic to watch!!
