Australia has replaced El Salvador as the fourth-largest center for cryptocurrency ATMs. The abrupt change happened when Australia put 99 cryptocurrency ATMs up around the nation in the final quarter of 2022. Australia has 216 operating crypto ATMs as of the time of publishing.

El Salvador has been promoting the widespread use of cryptocurrency. It became the first nation to recognize Bitcoin as a valid form of payment. Since achieving that significant milestone, the Nayib Bukele-led administration has made significant strides in promoting crypto-centric payment options. In September 2021, there will be more than 200 crypto ATMs spread around the nation.

Paul Weiss said Friday it has stopped representing embattled crypto mogul Sam Bankman-Fried, citing conflicts of interest.

Bankman-Fried, the former CEO of bankrupt crypto exchange FTX, is losing the firm's help as US lawyers for the platform claim he is disrupting reorganization efforts through "incessant and disruptive tweeting."
"We informed Mr. Bankman-Fried several days ago, after the filing of the FTX bankruptcy, that conflicts have arisen that precluded us from representing him;

Paul Weiss counsel Martin Flumenbaum said in a statement.
FTX collapsed in value last week and is now facing inquiries from U.S. and international regulators. The platform filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy Nov. 11.

Crypto.com mistakenly sent more than 320,000 ether ($400 million) to a rival crypto exchange called Gate on Oct. 21. This was revealed today after a Twitter user posted a screenshot inquiring why a large amount of ether had suddenly moved out of Crypto.com a few weeks ago.

The firm's CEO, Kris Marszalek, replied to the tweet, saying that the transfer was a result of human error.
Marszalek said someone on his team had erroneously sent about 80% of the ether in their reserves to a "whitelisted exchange." The funds had been scheduled to move to a new cold storage wallet, he said.

"It was supposed to be a move to a new cold storage address, but was sent to a whitelisted external exchange address. We worked with the Gate team and the funds were subsequently returned to our cold storage," Marszalek said.
Marszalek added that all of the ether was recovered.
