Followed by the sponsor roping at approx 11:30-12
Then the Calcutta approx 1 and open roping will follow!

What a day! Special thanks to Cal Poly Rodeo and Ben Londo .londo for hosting the Jake Barnes and Clay O’Brian Cooper roping clinic.

Roper’s came from near and far to attend 3 days of clinics. Our very own Elly Leslie attended and stated “Meeting and learning from these legends was a dream come true!”.

However the best piece of advice was from Jake when he said, “Roping with your spouse is generally a bad idea.” 🤣

All joking aside, this experience is hands down one of the best schools around and we are thankful to have it hosted during the Average Joe Finals.

Our breakaway last night was amazing ! It was definitely the toughest roping we’ve had! The girls brought it last night, it was so impressive!!! I can’t tell you how many people said what a tough short round it was…. so fun to watch!
Adriene Steffens (pictured with the horse who brought her the win! ) was the champ roping 3 calves in 6 seconds! Congrats again!
