My name is Tina and I live in North Carolina(hence the handle name😉). I am originally from Long Beach, CA, but after 30 years of military life, we have retired here in NC! We have 5 adult children and two new grandbabies, ages 8 months and 3.5 months old! Our youngest two sons still are home with us while they finish school, but one is getting married this November!

I began this account over 5 years ago on a whim, and I never expected for it to get this far! The friends I’ve made here are amazing and the support that YOU give me on the daily does not go unnoticed, and I appreciate each and every one of you so much!

As much as I’m loving it here in CA absorbing every second with this baby, I sure do miss my husband, sons and my bed! But, I know that as soon as I go home, I will miss these guys and this beautiful baby so much!😭 One more month here, and I can’t believe Addy turns 4 weeks tomorrow!

Before I left home to come to CA, I decorated the coffee bar for Spring! I didn’t do a whole lot of Easter decor, because I knew I wouldn’t be home until after Easter, and it was less for me to take down. 😬

If you’re wondering how I decorate for Easter vs. Spring…

For Easter, I use colorful bunnies, eggs, carrots, Easter colors…like pinks, blues and violets!

When Easter is over, I take down these things, but I still use bunnies everywhere, but more neutral ones, like whites and dark vintage brown. Or maybe even vintage gold! Then of course lots of flowers and greenery!

Just slight differences, but I love me some bunnies, and the neutral ones stay out through summer time!

Do you decorate for Easter or keep everything more Spring-like throughout the season?

So many of you told me yesterday that you had no idea that I had two swings in my sunroom, and the reason why? THIS is the only picture that I can get to show you both at the same time! 😂

The room is so narrow and long, so it’s a struggle for sure! 😬

I find myself looking forward to Christmas again, so I can see this room now with a Christmas tree in it, and my bed all decorated with lights!🤩 I can definitely wait to decorate for Christmas again though! 😅

I am loving our new wall lights, and the fact that they’re remote controlled! Because of that, we were able to install the lights up higher and save more room on our end tables. We also installed reading lamps on the other side above the chairs, on either side of the fireplace. But now I’m looking for cozier chairs, and we will be building our own fireplace in here soon! I’ll show you more of that side once we change it up!🙌

Y’all, I’ve been wanting to change out our front door since we moved into this house 4.5 years ago, and we finally did it!😍

The 3rd photo shows what it looks like from the front, but if you are new to my page, or can’t remember, the difference is crazy! It’s amazing what one little change can do to a space or house! I will be sharing a reel tomorrow of the transformation, and what it looked like before, and you’ll see in the reel that my husband made the shelf(aka dentil) in the front, because the price difference in the store with the dentil, was $400! So, we bought the door without and he built it himself!

We also learned through this project, that that shelf is called a dentil, because the squares underneath the shelf look like teeth!😅 Who knew?🤷🏻‍♀️

I know some of you really liked my red(ish) door before, but the only time I liked it was Christmas! 😂 Eventually, I would like to get shutters outside to match!
