🌻 House sign painted on oak, painted by hand with traditional sign writing methods (no tape!)
It always takes me by surprise that the most time consuming part is the sanding. Countless hours to get a smooth surface of this gorgeous old piece of oak.

After two months off Instagram it’s time to get back on the horse! I’ve been away working on the Commonwealth Games but I found just enough time to paint this little watercolour horse as a gift. The watercolour postcard pads and Cotman sets are fantastic for travelling with. Small enough to fit in a handbag!

I had this piece framed in oak by my local framer. I love a floating frame! Shout out to all framers for their patience and wisdom.

Isn’t this mountain just dreamy? And the meadow. And the light. You get the point. Magic! 🤩

This will be going on display later this month in the upcoming Monflanquin Festival d’Arts. What a thrill!
