October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we want to honor all patients who struggled / are struggling with this disease. In today’s post, we want to inform you about some statistics, as well as racial disparities in breast cancer.

Introducing Women’s Health Initiative: A new student-led organization at the University of South Florida that strives to raise awareness on women’s health issues through education, advocacy, and service.
Our pillars include:
•Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
•Advocacy and Empowerment
•Research and Education
•Community Service and Outreach
We hope to form a close-knit group of students that are passionate about women’s health. More information about Executive Board recruitment will be coming out soon :)
