Yesterday, to start off practice the cheerleaders walked & talked with some girls that participate in Girls on the Run at the elementary school ❤️ I was so proud of the cheerleaders for not skipping a beat & jumping right in with my last minute decision to have them talk with the younger girls about emotions & ways to make themselves feel more confident 😊
So proud of these girls, they worked their tails off & got alot of stunting accomplished ❤️🖤 can’t wait to see what the rest of our season entails!
Thank you to Coach Stephanie and the girls from this year’s squad and last, for putting together the sweetest going away gift for me. It was complete with a personalized message from each of them which I’ll save for my *sad* eyes. We won’t talk about how many tears were shed.
Stephanie will be there to keep the spirit up, and I know the girls will do great things. I’ll be their biggest cheerleader!
Thank you girls and families for entrusting me to help build the MJHS cheer squad. I appreciate you all!
Signing off as coach,
Sam

The girls did AMAZING even with the heat today. We were very impressed!
Tonight, prior to the game, the girls had a pizza party. Thank you to the Mears family for your monetary donation!
Now for the sappy stuff…So proud of these girls! As our season is coming to a close, they’ve continued to show dedication to their sport. I know they’re tired. Yet they still try new things, because they are determined to get things done! Some girls are being challenged with trying new stunt positions and they’re proving it to themselves and everyone else that it can be accomplished with a little perseverance and believing in themselves. And I can tell you first hand that I’ve watched their trust in one another grow immensely.
Here are a few pictures from tonight’s game including spirit stick winners Ryleigh Rush and Izabell Edwards.
All of the girls did good tonight! These two especially stood out. Emma Millburg received a spirit stick for her contagious smile and Ryleigh Rush received hers for working hard on the sideline and in floor cheers!
Just two more games…or so we’re told. The cheer family will understand. 😆 Thank you all for hanging in with us during this long cheer season!
Tonight’s spirit sticks go to Mackenzie Poleon and Macie Daugherty! Mackenzie could be heard calling cheers tonight and Macie showed her spirit through both 6th grade games. Great job girls!
Tonight didn’t end the way we’d hoped. Our 7th grade boys lost to South Fork to end the season.
Tonight’s spirit stick went to all 5 7th graders who cheered tonight: Izzy Edwards, Addison Dunkirk, Ryleigh Rush. Rayla Brown, and Rilynne Segrest. These girls kept their pep and cheer up the entire game even with a rough first half. We are very proud of them!!
