Production prices for the spiral notebooks are going up on Jan. 23rd. ☹️ I keep these entry-level notebooks priced as low as possible ($9.99) so that everyone who wants a notebook can have one. However, given the price increase... either I need to raise the price or discontinue the product. Haven't yet decided. 🫤

All this to say, if you want a spiral notebook, now's the time to get one! www.thomasandcate.com

Introducing the Dominicanus line. "Dominicanus" is a play on the Latin "Domini canis," "Dog of the Lord."

Options:

(1) Hardcover notebook in four colors: blue, green, cranberry, and brown. The perforated pages are fantastic for making lists, and the notebooks fit in a regular sized purse.

(2) Color contrast hardbound notebook with a rubber band closure. These also fit nicely inside a purse.

(3) Spiral bound notebooks. These are my entry-level notebooks; the quality is a a couple steps up from the usual grocery store spiral bound notebooks. I keep the price point as low as possible on these, FYI. (T&C is my fun side project.)

(4) MUGS!!!!!!! I know, I know - this is a departure from notebooks. But the dominicanus image makes for a good mug. My other T&C mug so far is the Veritas mug.

Purchasing T&C notebooks as a Christmas gift? Best to place those orders no later than Dec. 8th. They ship directly from the printer and not from me, so it's best to allow a week for processing and another week for shipping. Note: At this time I'm only taking domestic (US) orders.

Happy feast of Holy Father Francis of Assisi, from this lay Dominican! The Franciscans and Dominicans share a special bond. Each Order celebrates the other's founding saint's day as a feast proper. As (Dominican) St. Catherine of Siena said, "[they] were truly two pillars of the Holy Church: Francis in that poverty which was principally his, and Dominic in his learning" (Dialogue, 158). I wish all my Franciscan friends a blessed solemnity. - Rhonda

Images:

(1) My husband and I were blessed to visit Assisi while on our honeymoon in January 2005, during the Christmas season.

(2-4) I designed these notebooks featuring Fra Angelico's Meeting of St. Dominic and St. Francis at the suggestion of my Secular Franciscan friend and CatholicMom.com editor Barb Szyszkiewicz. The black-and-white pattern reminded me of dishes I saw in an Assisi shop. They are available in hardcover ($15.99) and softcover spiral bound ($9.99), and they make lovely gifts. Visit thomasandcate.com to purchase.

Blessed feast to you all!
