Probably not the treatments your Dr will prescribe - but that’s the kind of stuff we do here.

I write this for all the women who do not yet know they are wild women and what destiny has in store for them. Who will face the persecution and abuse ~ as I have. The women whose very existence is a threat to the system we live in. The women who will be brought to their knees by not bowing down and conforming. The women who stand in their truth despite losing everything. May they find the guidance they need to steer them back to the light, the strength to heal their wounds and the courage and humility to trust the process that forges them into the amazingly strong wild women that they are.

Wild women are the ones appointed to break generations of inherited trauma ~ to liberate the future by facing the past through the present ~ and stopping the perpetuated cycles of pain through ignorance. To resolve her inherited trauma by remembering the struggles and challenges of her ancestors. Events in life will make this realisation inescapable for those brave enough to face these patterns. She could go to the ends of the earth and the trauma will follow her ~ attracting circumstances and situations ~ forcing the wild women to see the patterns and limitations of her experience by slapping her repeatedly in the face until she confronts it.

Our little desert health retreat ~ tucked away in our organic garden farm. ☺️🏡🌴💕

We offer ‘nourishing’ programmes - where our guests get to eat local traditional foods prepared by Amazigh families - using vegetables and herbs grown in their gardens.

Our own organic farm inspired foods are part of our ‘nourishing’ ~ such as freshly laid eggs ~ our organic grass-fed meat ~ homemade yogurt and fresh raw goats milk.

Some of our guests wish to take this a step further - and for them we provide a detox’ retreat - where they can juice fast ~ eat specially prepared live foods ~ and access natural medicines like acupuncture ~ naturopathic cleansing ~ sound healing ~ breathwork ~ massage ~ and movement practices like yoga and curative eurythmy.

We feel very lucky and humble to be here doing what we do and working with amazing people. It’s not the life for everyone ~ but we love it and sharing these wonderful gifts and opportunities with others makes it all worth it!

Why did I move to an oasis in the Sahara Desert some sixteen years ago? Why did I pack in my promising career in natural medicine, my beautiful London flat, my credit cards and my city life to move to a remote rural and isolated village in Egypt’s Sahara Desert?

These are some of the questions I get asked when people come to do an oasis immersion health retreat with us in our organic farm.

The truth is that I wanted more. Although I loved working as a nutritionist and naturopath in London ~ I wanted more time to ponder on life and less time wrapped up in the consumerist paradigm. I craved a deeper perspective of who I was and what it meant to be truly healthy and free in this compromised world and I knew I needed to get back to nature. The distractions and demands of modern life don’t make that inward journey easy and I desperately desired a less complicated life rooted in simplicity. I wanted to grow my own food and medicines and live close to the land. I’d always dreamt of building my own traditional eco-homes out of earth and having the space to hold health immersions for guests and making that happen has been an epic process for me.

I never imagined I would stay for so long in an indigenous culture nor gain such tremendous insights and fulfillment from being in this unique environment. But this place is truly magical in so many ways.

Suffice to say I’ve lived out of my comfort zone and that’s been a great facilitator for growth and development. I’ve now built and/or renovated three earth houses using local natural materials and I continue to work as a naturopath and nutritionist both within the local community and with those who come for our health programs. It feels hugely meaningful to share my experience with others as others share theirs with us.

If you want to visit our little bit of paradise and meaningfully explore and share in the health benefits and insights of our lifestyle… then check out my website.

It’s an intense ride for us all during these times but may you find as much joy, happiness and fulfillment as you can in the fleeting moments of life.

It is bloody hard to get to Siwa - and our immersions are certainly more first class than no-frills. Sometimes we just don’t get why our guests are so desperate to come…

… maybe it is because once they dream about how it feels to wake up in a beautifully comfortable bed - in their own unique little castle - surrounded by palm trees - in the middle of a paradise oasis - they just can’t stop wishing for that fairytale to come true.

It’s bloody hard to get to Siwa - and our retreats are really expensive. We don’t fully understand why our guests are so determined to come and stay with us…

… maybe it is the chance to float in salt lakes - even more buoyant than the Dead Sea - and rich in detoxifying and healing minerals.
