Currently, we are hiring teachers who can impart learning of the English language to students between the age group of 4 to 12 years.

The goal is to help cultivate the students’ interest in education and be their dedicated ally in the entire process of learning and development.

Core Teacher Responsibilities

We want our teachers to carry an ability to bring about a change in the mindset of students and build their foundational understanding and knowledge of the English language.

The main responsibilities of a Googokid Teacher is as follows:

Presenting lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning.
Providing individualized instruction to each student(where necessary) and promoting interactive learning.
Creating and distributing educational content.
Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback.

About Googokid Class

Googokid class comprises young students aged between 4-12 years. Each class has 4 students and each class is 25 mins. We ensure that each student gets sufficient attention from the teacher as well as has multiple opportunities to connect with and learn from fellow students.
We have carefully set 1 on 4 classroom ratio so that you can manage students easily while allowing them to interact with you openly.

Teaching Requirements
Want to teach with us? To teach English with Googokid, here are the requirements that you must meet:
Passionate about teaching English: Excellent knowledge of the English language both in the written and spoken form is a must.
Bachelor’s Degree: The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree or higher in any subject. Those currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree are welcome to apply but they must furnish official records.
Certification: A 120-hour ESL certification such as TESOL is preferrable. If you don’t have the certification, Googokid can help you. You can join our fully-accredited 120-hour Advanced TESOL course for just $20. This course is designed to hone your skills and prepare you for teaching English online.
Prior teaching experience is preferred.
The applicant must have a positive attitude and love for children.

: Trial classes
Once you clear the interview stage, you will be given 2-5 trial classes. You will teach real students and their family will send feedback.

: Background Check
Our team will check your documentation and conduct a background check. Once everything is verified, you will sign a contract with us.

: Sign Contract
We have a 6-month contract with no minimum teaching requirements. Once this contract is over, our experts will review your performance to determine whether your contract should be renewed.

Hourly Pay Rate: $16-$20 per hour
Class Length: 30 Minutes
Class Schedule: 7 days a week
Monday – Friday: 6:40 pm-7:10 pm; 7:20 pm-7:50 pm; 8:00 pm-8:30 pm; 8:40 pm-9:10 pm
Friday and Saturday: 8:40 pm-9:10 pm; 9:20 pm-9:50 pm; 10:00 pm-10:30 pm; 10:40pm-11:10 pm; 11:20 pm-11:50 pm
Job Requirements:
These are a few basic requirements for this job:
a) Degree Required: Bachelor or above (Students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree considered)
b) Certification: Not mandatory but preferred
c) Experience: Desired but not mandatory
d) Accent(s): Native North American
In addition, you must be able to commit a minimum 6 hours of teaching every week.
Technical Requirements
Magic Ears teachers must also meet device and technical requirements to ensure your teaching setup supports online classes.

4. Minimum upload speed - 2Mbps
5. Minimum download speed - 4Mbps
Know The Selection Process:
By understanding the transparent selection process that we follow you may be able to nail these perfectly and become a part of the formidable Magic Ears teaching team!
After the initial screening a simple, 3 step selection criteria are followed and if successful, you are hired:
1) Demo interview 1
2) Demo interview 2
3) Trial classes- (2-5)
Magic Ears undertakes the first demo interview to assess your technical proficiency, i.e. can you work on the Magic Ears platform? Are you well-acquainted with the buttons and tools? How adept you are in managing sound and video quality? Etc.
The second demo interview is a question and answer round which generally lasts about 25 minutes. Once through, you will be asked to demonstrate your teaching techniques and skills and project your overall teacher persona.
After these two demo interviews, the next phase is trial or mock classes. You will take these trial classes based on which you will receive real feedback for these lessons. The number of trials will vary between 2-5 sessions, depending on the feedback.
If you fare well in all these, then the last step is a background check before you get to sign your contract with Magic Ears and start booking classes.
