•Question: So… What is Reiki?!

•Reiki is a holistic (meaning: treating the whole self) hands-on healing system that originates from Japan. It helps to induce relaxation and reduce stress, while promoting balance and harmony of the mental, emotional, physical, energetic and spiritual selves.

•Reiki translates to “spiritual energy” or “life force energy.” Founded in Japan by Usui Mikao, the system of Reiki originated as teachings of self-healing, including self-practice, self-responsibility, and personal development. It incorporates five elements: daily guidelines, palm-healing (the laying of hands), breathing techniques, symbols and mantras, and blessings (attunements) from a teacher.

•Reiki has evolved into a system of energy healing that is shared through practitioners via in-person and distance sessions (meaning the practitioner and client need not be physically present together), to both humans and animals, the earth, past, present and future events, and is even shared within several hospitals in the United States to aid patients in their healing journeys.

I am a Level Two Reiki Practitioner currently offering in-person studio sessions in Chesaning, Michigan, as well as distance sessions to anywhere in the world. Reiki is a gentle form of hands-on energy work that encourages balance and harmony within all levels: mind, body and emotions. It helps to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and ignite wellness of the whole self.
I’ve been studying Reiki and practicing since 2018.
