Laguna Middle School PTA

Naomi James, 8th grade, participated in the CASMEC All State Band. This is the state’s most coveted band. The audition process is intense and highly competitive. Naomi spent nearly four days over two weekends completing the auditions. Naomi spent countless hours practicing and preparing for these auditions. Ultimately, Naomi was selected for the state’s top overall band. Over the course of three days, Naomi worked with other incredible young musicians, learned from some of the country’s premier music educators, and gave an incredible performance in our state’s capital. Naomi plays french horn in the Laguna advanced band in addition to being in volleyball and mock trial.

It's Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week at Laguna!

We so deeply appreciate all that the LAMS teachers and staff give and sacrifice to support, educate and care for our kids. We’ll be celebrating them starting TODAY for Laguna’s teacher and staff appreciation week!

Here’s what to expect:

Monday morning: we provided donuts and coffee
Tuesday and Thursday we’re encouraging students to write and bring notes of gratitude – please ask your kid to do this or utilize materials provided at lunch to write these notes.

Friday we’re bringing in catered lunch from Old SLO BBQ
