03.02.23 Training day with Gus Lawrence Senior X30 British Champion 🏎

I learnt so much on Friday with the help from Gus, and we saw an improvement on my pace thanks to his training & advice given to me!

A huge thank you to Gus for giving up his day to mentor me...appreciate it, and it definitely showed in the results over the weekend!

🏆Smith dominates PFI Autumn Cup🏆

After weeks of hard work and a second-place finish last month, Josh managed to work his way to the top of the podium this weekend! A first he so desperately wanted and was determined to get💪🏽

His outstanding efforts meant his victory was rounded off by almost five seconds🏁

Steph Sore of Kath & Steph Sore Racing RSR has reached the finals of Formula Woman to be in with a chance to get a drive in a McLaren GT4!

She is working really hard to be in the best form she can be for the final, including a fitness coach and also preparing on the simulator. If you would like to offer support in anyway to help Steph prepare the best way she can for the final please get in touch with her on [email protected]

First weekend in Minimax ✅ 👊🏼

The new season has officially begun, starting off at Kimbolton for HKRC Round 1. Up into Minimax, the aim was a top 10 finish!

Heat 1: P8 to P5! A great first ever rolling start and good race craft throughout to keep with the front pack.

Heat 2: P24 to P22. A gamble on slick tyres on a damp track, difficult conditions, but Josh’s first ever time in this situation so a good learning experience.

Final: P12 to P7! Great race with plenty of action for Josh to get stuck into. Good race craft to get into the top 10 and end the weekend on a high in 7th!

Also got to collect his 2021 Honda Cadet Championship trophy as well as the Martin Hines Award. 🏆

Ending the season double club champion at Whilton Mill and Kimbolton is an amazing achievement 🏆 Not forgetting that pole position at the British Championships🥇

Honda Cadet 2021 WMKC Champion‼️‼️

It’s official!! Joshua has won the championship by 3 points! Amazing highs and lows throughout the season, with 5 final wins which helped him secure the title.

A great battle all year with Joshua Bugembe, congrats on becoming Vice-Champion.

Fantastic way to round off the year with the title we set out to achieve. Thank you to everyone for supporting Josh, even when times got tough! P1 🏆👏🏼

Heat 2: P17 to P4 (bumper penalty down to P9) with fastest lap ⏱

Final: P3 to P1!! Straight into the lead and a lights to flag victory!

We are still waiting to hear on the final championship standings, but what a great way to end his campaign for the title!

It’s time!! Final round of the Whilton Mill Championship💥

After an intense season, with 4 final wins and many podiums throughout the heats, it all comes down to this weekend!

Going into the weekend in 2nd in the standings. Game on! 💪🏼

Joshua’s best weekend at the toughest circuit in the UK so far!

Bad weather all weekend, which hasn’t always been Josh’s strongest conditions, but this weekend he was on form!

Excellent qualifying session in 5th which was followed by an amazing Heat 1, taking the victory - his first ever win at PF! Another great result in Heat 2 finishing in 3rd!

These fantastic results classified him in 2nd for the final. The rain came down just as the field headed out onto the circuit. A tricky start to the race saw Josh drop to 7th at one point, but he kept his cool and worked his way back up to finish a brilliant 4th! So many positives to take from the weekend 💪🏼

Back to PFI this weekend for the final round of the Autumn Cup!

Joshua has not competed in all of the rounds, so no championship pressures this weekend - nonetheless, he will be aiming for the top on a tough grid! 🏁

What a weekend at Whilton Mill...

Josh started the race day off with an excellent win in Heat 1, with an awesome last lap manoeuvre to take the win by just 0.07 seconds! A great race with Noah Barham.

From 22nd on the grid for Heat 2, it was very hard to avoid the first lap carnage, and Josh got caught up in an incident which knocked his nose-cone in. Despite knowing he had the penalty to be applied, he got his head down and charged all the way through to 3rd! The penalty pushed him down to 11th.

Starting the final in 3rd, he got into 2nd off the line. On the first lap he came off the circuit and rejoined in 5th. He went onto catch the leaders and get into the top spot and cross the line first! However, following the race, the stewards deemed that Josh rejoined the circuit at the wrong place and handed him a 1 lap penalty. What would've put Josh in the joint lead of the championship has now made the last round more of a challenge - but Josh has come back before and the fight isn't over yet! 👀🏁
