Everyone say hello to the Eckerd Anthrozoology Club’s ASRC Student Representative Katie Willgohs! Katie was a member of the Comparative Psych Lab since her first year at Eckerd and is now the lab manager. She has been a huge part of getting the new Animal Studies major off the ground by being the Animal Studies student assistant and has been working hard along with the animal studies faculty to create the Animal Studies Research Collaborative which is a collective effort happening with researchers off and on Eckerd’s campus doing animal studies projects. As the ASRC Student Representative she will give talks at our monthly meetings to update all of us on the current projects going on as part of the ASRC as well as share when projects are looking for researchers, lab assistants, or subjects! Her experience as a research intern studying elephant behavior and several studies as a researcher in the dog lab will make her a great addition to the club as a member and her work with the ASRC makes her the perfect choice for our rep! Welcome Katie!
