Today marks the last day of Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week, and I want to take a moment to acknowledge the journey we’re on together. Motherhood can be a wild ride, full of ups and downs, twists and turns. There are days when we feel like we’re crushing it, and others when we’re barely holding on.

But here’s the thing: you’re not alone in this journey. I see you, fellow mama. I see your struggles, your doubts, your fears. And I want you to know that I’m here for you, just as I am. No judgments, no expectations - just a compassionate heart & fellow Mama.

If you’re feeling lost, overwhelmed, or just plain stuck, please know that there’s help available. Reach out to or - they’re here to support you every step of the way.

So, mama, don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it. Hire help if you can. Find ways to put yourself first, even if it’s just for 5 minutes a day. Take a deep breath, go for a walk, or connect with someone for a cuppa and let them be your listening partner so you can unload some or all of which you carry.

“I think it's so important to acknowledge that we do have fears. It is a big deal to become a mother.

It is a big deal to go through pregnancy and birth.

And if we are aware and conscious, we will learn about the realities and statistics and that can be very scary.

So acknowledge the fear and surround yourself with people who are going to support a more positive vision of birth. It's not that they are unrealistic, it's just that they really do believe in and have had experiences of empowered birth themselves.

If you have had a previous traumatic experience or have heard a previous traumatic experience from someone else, I think it's really important to intentionally unpack that. I heard this, I saw this, I am scared of . .. why did this happen in that scenario?
