Now that the eclipse is in the past, what do you do with your eclipse glasses? DONATE them so that folks in other parts of the world can safely view eclipses when they hit their area. Here's how:

Last week I had the absolute pleasure of having cheesecake and a chat with Amber Perry. The journalist wanted to learn about my nonprofit for an Appen Media article. Talking about The Pippin Project keeps it real for me regarding the impact we still want to make. Being interviewed and asked to reflect made me realize how far we have come.
This is the published story π
The Pippin Project closes digital divide for those behind technology curve When students were forced to learn remotely amid the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Yvonne David realized that some students would lose what has become necessary to succeed in the world
Spring time is HS graduation time. This will be the 4th year that the nonprofit The Pippin Project is donating as-new refurbished laptops to local HS Senior students, leaving school with/without a diploma. The school social workers and career counselors identify which kids canβt afford to purchase one themselves after they hand in their school device. We have no information about the recipients, just the total number of laptops that the βClass of 2024β requires from us.
With your help we are hoping to impact even more kids this Spring.

One of the reasons I founded the 501(c)3 nonprofit The Pippin Project was to bridge a glaring digital gap, and provide refurbished laptops to High School Seniors who canβt afford one themselves. When these βkidsβ leave school in the Spring to start a career, get a further education, or take a break, we make sure they leave with a device.
We rely entirely on corporate giving, and personal donations from people like you. Turning the spotlight on a couple of new local sponsors for 2024: Ecloud Recycle and Shelnutt Family Dentistry. Thanks to your generosity more local young adults will be better equipped as they start their new journey.
If my personal mission to level the digital playing field resonates with you and/or your organization, please go to our website and donate https://www.thepippinproject.org/donate .
Or contact me directly about other ways to join us π
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone celebrating!
We at The Pippin Project are thankful for our private and corporate donors. Because of your contributions we have been able to provide devices and life skills training to those who could otherwise not afford them π±

We are happy to have been introduced to this program and we are proud to play a small part by providing laptops to the transcribers π
These grainy screen shots donβt do it justice. Earlier this month two ICT Labs were officially launched in two middle schools in Ghana. A total of 350 students are being impacted by having a lab right in their own school. And their family members will be able to use the lab during weekends, as well.
We at .pippin.project are happy we were in the position to donate the equipment, and to play a small part in this leveling the playing field for these two communities.
It takes a village π±π

Welcome to our page!
Our vision is simple. We believe that everyone, regardless of their circumstances, past and present, deserves the chance to build career capital and financial stability. We help create a sustainable path towards both digital as well as educational equity for the historically excluded communities we support.
We do this by directly donating repurposed technology resources. And by custom designing and delivering job readiness and entrepreneurship training to the following communities in particular.
Under-represented young people (working, in college, trade school), who have recently left High School with or without a diploma.
People who face multiple obstacles re-entering the workplace after incarceration, including those who have been exonerated.
We support environmental conservation efforts to reduce e-waste through technology recycle drives.
