CPAAA - St. Louis County 1st Precinct

Our Mission: To promote increased public support of the St. Louis County Police Department; improve relations between the public and the St.

Louis County Police Department; and educate the public about the function and role of the Citizens Police Academy.

We've received reports from concerned residents about a recent scam targeting our community. Scammers are posing as representatives from local Police Departments, calling unsuspecting individuals and demanding payment for nonexistent debts. This is a deceptive attempt to steal your hard-earned money!

Remember, The Florissant Police Department will NEVER call you to ask for money over the phone or through cash payment apps. Your safety and security are our top priorities, and we want to ensure you stay protected.

If you receive a call from a local number claiming to be the Police Department and requesting payment, hang up immediately! Do not engage with these fraudsters. Spread the word among your family, friends, and neighbors to help everyone stay informed and safeguard against this scam.

Stay vigilant, be cautious, and report any suspicious calls or activities to police. Together, we can combat these criminals and keep our community safe!

Disposal of flood damaged items.

*Revised*
CITY OF FLORISSANT CONTINUES TO WORK WITH GATEWAY DISPOSAL TO ASSIST
RESIDENTS AFFECTIVE BY THE RECENT FLASH FLOODING

Mayor Tim Lowery would like to announce that starting on Monday, August 1st through Friday, August 5th, Gateway Disposal drivers will come by residents’ homes and pick up flood damaged items only that were destroyed during the recent flash flood that hit our area. Items must be placed at the curb to be picked up. Residents will need to call the Florissant Health Department at 314-839-7654 (M-F Business Hours) to make arrangements to get their address on the list. That list will then be sent to Gateway Disposal.
For that week yard waste will be suspended and will start again the following week.
The following items will be accepted with no exceptions:
Couches, chairs, tables, mattresses, box springs, area rugs, head and foot boards, bed frames, dressers, chests, entertainment centers, lawn equipment with all oil and gas drained, clothes as long as they are boxed up, carpet that has been cut up into small manageable rolls due to weight and all glass must be taped so it does not shatter on street or workers.
Items that will not be accepted:
Car parts of any kind, batteries, tires, hazardous materials, electronics of any kind, computer monitors and printers, construction materials which includes drywall and 2x4s, rock and concrete bricks.
Mayor Lowery would like to thank everyone for their patience and cooperation.
The free bulk pick up day is still scheduled for Sunday, July 31st from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at St. Ferdinand Park
