Thank you PASF for your support!

Sofia Malvinni, violinist, won the PASF Junior Instrumental Division top prize in 2019. She returned to compete in the Adult Instrumental Division, (as a minor due to PASF’s policy that winners of the top prize in one category are not able to compete again in that category), and won 2nd prize in 2022. This accomplished young lady will be graduating a year early from Dos Pueblos High School where she has been a member of the Engineering Academy. Sofia started violin lessons with her mother, violinist Valerie Malvinni, at the age of three. Throughout her musical journey, she has won many awards and has performed with Santa Barbara Youth Symphony. She appeared as a soloist with Santa Barbara Symphony, Nir Kabaretti conducting, at the age of 11, performing the Bach Double Concerto. Her aspiration to become a world-class violin soloist is well on its way to being fulfilled. She is studying with Professor Simon James at San Francisco Conservatory of Music as an undergraduate violin major.

Sofia will perform at Santa Barbara Music Club at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 19, at First United Methodist Church, Santa Barbara, CA. This concert is FREE to the public. Sofia Malvinni

Thank you to those that donated on my MightyCause.com page during the Suzuki Violin School Spring Concert on Friday.
I played the first movement of the Sibelius Concerto, and two movements of the Prokofiev duo for Two Violins with my friend Sophie. The duo was a piece we worked on at SBCC's chamber music class. We also started the concert with the Ukraine National Anthem to show solidarity with the people of Ukraine.
Thank you for your generosity!
