Y’all, I’m tired. This year has brought me to collapse and rebirth more times than I can count-personally, professionally, emotionally. Recently, I’ve been getting endless messages from the universe to release control and rest. This week came a flashing neon stop sign that I could not ignore to sit my a** down. While I figure out how to do that I will be closing down Hippie Adjacent. I simply cannot maintain the pace I’ve been running and I need to figure out how to calibrate accordingly and reprioritize myself and my wellbeing. I’ll tap back in around March and share a vibe check.

Warning: Long post aheadTime to address the elephant in the room- this account has been quiet as a church mouse and that is because I took & am taking a social media break. This post from covers a lot of how I've been feeling lately, so most of my effort has been spent trying to maintain.
Maintaining my mental & emotional health, my 9-5 job so I can pay my bills, so forth and so on. As a result, HA has gotten the short end of the stick in a lot of ways.
So, why am I posting this today? One, to honor the truth of the Thanksgiving origin story ( is always a great resource) by honoring the truth of our current global circumstances. Two, to set expectations about what to expect this holiday season on the HA front. Three, to slowly ease back into socials.
That being said, I recognize that we still live and operate within capitalism. Given that Black Friday and Small Business Saturday begin tomorrow, I thought it only fair to name that I won't be doing promos for either this year. To be transparent, I just don't have the bandwidth. I have spent some of my quiet time lately making new things &diving back into the fun & artistry jewelry making. I will be uploading new work and restocking previous work on December 1st. If you choose to buy from me to celebrate your holiday season I would be immensely grateful, as always, to be apart of your memories.
Finally, you will start to see more posts from me as the year closes and we gear up for the new year, but they will be scheduled and I'll check in about once a week for comments & DMs. Two of Hippie Adjacent's core values are authenticity & rest- I'm hoping to honor both as well as what my body needs by choosing a bit of a different path for the holiday season.
What hasn't changed though is my gratitude for this community and your being a part of it. 💛

I know it isn't Thursday, but who cares. These pictures are throwbacks to the Cupid Crush earring during Valentine's last year. I made a TON of them to prep for my first in store pop up all the way out in McKinney at Etienne Market. Today I'm feeling immense gratitude for this weekend. I got to spend it with really cool people telling them about Hippie Adjacent, how I got started and with my entire community at my back. This past week was a TON of work And hoping to snag a little sleep and a little play in the week to come. Thanks for being here

I know May is mental health awareness month but as we enter this weekend with everything going on in the world and adding in Father's Day and Juneteenth it can bring up a lot of hard and complicated feelings. "Don't put a period where God put a comma." If you believe in a higher power even if it's not God then maybe "the universe" is a better fit but the point is that everyone's life has a destiny and in case nobody has told you lately. I'm glad you're here. 💛
