Cyberbullying can occur though SMS, Text, and apps, or online in social media, forums, and gaming where people can view, participate in, or share content. Cyberbullying includes sending, posting, or sharing negative, harmful, false or mean content about someone else. It can includes sharing personal or private information about someone else causing embarrassment or humiliation. Some cyberbullying crosses the line into unlawful or criminal behavior.

Cyberbullying can cause debilitating fear, distraction of self esteem, social isolation, poor academic performance. It can also lead to difficulty informing healthy relationships and most importantly, victims can develop severe symptoms of post traumatic stress, anxiety and depression.

In fact, research shows that 32% of kids who are targets of cyberbullying report experiencing at least one symptoms of stress. In addition to feeling distressed, they also may feel embarrassed, hurt, and even fear for their safety. They may even blame themselves for the cyberbullying.
