𝐋𝐄𝐃𝐀 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 & 𝐄𝐮𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐊𝐲𝐥𝐞 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐦𝐬 took the stage to emphasize the importance of industry collaboration, highlighting how working together helps elevate public safety standards. 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐨𝐛 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐬𝐨𝐧, 𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐨𝐧, 𝐓𝐗 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, was also called upon for his expertise during a panel discussion, contributing valuable insights to the conversation.

Our hearts are heavy today as we learn of the tragic events that unfolded last night in Dallas, Texas. A brave police officer has been fatally shot in the line of duty, and two other officers were wounded while serving and protecting their community. This senseless act of violence is a stark reminder of the dangers that our law enforcement officers face every day as they put their lives on the line to keep us safe.

We stand in solidarity with the Dallas Police Department , and the families of the officers affected during this incredibly difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the fallen officer, the injured officers, and all those who are mourning this devastating loss.

Let us take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices made by the men and women in blue and honor their commitment to our safety. We hope for the swift recovery of the injured officers and extend our deepest condolences to the loved ones of the officer who paid the ultimate price.

Family identifies Dallas police officer killed in southeast Oak Cliff shooting Darron Burks, 46, was fatally shot, his mother, Cherie Jeffrey, told The Dallas Morning News.

Day one of LEDA DC Night Ops 2024 is down. It was a great day, starting with a LEDA/NIST proctor course. Tropical storm Debby tried her best to stop us from flying in the evening but we were able to transition to indoor obstacle course flight, which was awesome!

Excellent work by Det. Fleishans with the Platte County Missouri Sheriff's Office!

As posted on their FB page:

"On 07-11-2024 at 0010 hours a motor vehicle accident took place on southbound I-29, south of Z Hwy. The accident involved a wrong way driver, traveling north in the south bound lanes of I-29. The northbound vehicle hit a southbound SUV head on, killing 3 people and causing serious injuries to another passenger, with three others moderately injured. The wrong way driver fled the scene and was not located. All units cleared the scene at 04:49 hours.
On 07-11-2024, Platte County Missouri Sheriff’s Office Detective Mathew Fleishans received an update about the crash. He called Sgt. Katherine Smith and asked for permission to stop at the crash location on his way to work to see if he could find anything with his drone. Permission was granted and Det. Fleishans began his search with the assistance of Deputy Adam Raybuck.
Det. Fleishans used his drone and flew it along the tree line west of I-29. Det. Fleishans located the hit and run driver in thick underbrush in the tree line. With the assistance of Dep. Raybuck, narcotics officers, and Cpl. Thomas Fugate the suspect was taken into custody and released to the Missouri State Highway Patrol for charging.
Det. Fleishans took it upon himself to assist an outside agency, locating the suspect in this fatal accident. Det. Fleishans’ work ethic and attention to detail is a perfect example of the integrity of the Platte County Missouri Sheriff’s Office.
