The Season Finale with DPDS invites special guest host of ‘ You Booked It’ podcast to interview Darren Pinheiro Dos Santos on his journey and insights on his career in the entertainment industry.

Dane relives all of the questions DPDS has asked his guests all season long and both share stories and experiences which led them on their journey.

With an extensive background in Live Entertainment and Guest Experiences, Darren’s credits have included successful partnerships with Royal Caribbean International, Universal Studios, Silver Sea Luxury Cruises , Legoland, Motiongate Pictures, Dreamworks, Dubai Parks and Resorts, Bourne Leisure the leading holiday resorts provider in the UK and most recently as an award winning Entertainment Director for Carnival Cruise Line Corporation.

Darren began his career in the entertainment industry over 20 years ago. He has worked as a professional Singer/Dancer performing all over the world working for some of the largest entertainment providers in the industry before transitioning to focusing on developing and managing entertainment operations and experiences as well as advising clients and executives enhancing and delivering robust business strategies driving operational excellence.

Darren specializes in entertainment operations with an emphasis on guest experience. His background is full of directing credits and maximizing growth with a proven track record in increasing NPS and revenue for stakeholders and driving positive change and standardizing operating procedures for clients.

During his time with Carnival Cruise Line, Darren received recognition and awards for Entertainment Director of the year for both Casting and Booking and Music throughout the entire fleet. He is known for his attention to detail and creating new engaging experiences with a strong background working with Performers, Musicians, Youth Teams and Entertainment Technical professionals from around the world.

Industry Insights connects with Wendy who gives fascinating insights into the world of costuming and shares her story on how her career began in the world of costuming.

Beginning her career studying textile and design for the fashion industry, Wendy quickly after studies began her career working for ne of the most iconic Theme parks and brands in the world ‘Disney’. Wendy has gone on to be a successful manager running large costume departments and opening many new theme parks such as ‘Universal Studios’ and ‘Warner Brothers’ spanning all over the globe including the United States, Asia and The Middle East to highlight a few.

Utilising her creative and imagination skills Wendy has worked and collaborated working on various costumes designs and ideas all around the world working with different cultures.

A tremendous career this far with a wealth of knowledge and insights into the world of costuming.
