We offer a premium bed and breakfast escape, as well as a range of unique extra experiences! To share our experiences of Devon and Cornwall, offering an exciting and diverse range of mini-adventures; whilst providing an environment at Lee Byre in which you can unwind, stretch out and be yourself.
It is with some sadness that we tell you our Lee Byre BnB journey has come to an end and we will not be re-opening to guests. A number of events have played their part and leave us looking to move on from this beautiful valley in West Devon. It is with huge excitement that we step out and look for our next opportunity and with huge thanks and gratitude to everyone who has stayed with us and supported us so far. Dear guests,
In a situation that appears to be changing daily, it is difficult to make longer term decisions about this coming summer and autumn.
We want you to know that we have your best interests in heart, and whilst we would love to say we will be open, at the moment there is no guarantee.
We have cancelled all stays in April and May, refunding deposits in full. We will continue to review the situation, let by industry advice and will update as soon as possible.

Our new neighbours for this season have arrived and Maya was very helpful in guiding them to their new home! We love watching the spring lambs jumping around in the field next to us. 😍
The splashes of colour are coming back into the gardens! Maya was exploring Cotehele today and loved all the spring flowers there!
As we wait for spring to kick in, this wet mild weather is perfect for exploring funghi. Maya found a trail of rare Scarlet Elf Cups (the little red ones) and a fallen branch covered in bracket fungus! Who said funghi weren’t fun? 😉
New! We now offer free accommodation for great t**s, tree sparrows or pied flycatchers! We hope they will enjoy the nice views, plenty of delicious food and our homebuilt, cosy homes.

We’re seriously impressed Maya kept her fingers out of the flowing honey 😝. Our bees have been super busy and harvested lots and lots of nectar to produce our delicious Lee Byre honey! You can buy it from us - just come over and ask for it. 🐝 🍯
Another place to visit from Lee Byre is Tintagel! The new bridge is finished and open for business - very impressive architecture and the castle itself is very interesting too, of course 😉.
Our lovely market town Tavistock is always worth a visit. Especially the newly renovated pannier market - with its own singers 🎶.

Dartmoor National Park offers walks for all abilities. You don’t need to be amazingly skilled to enjoy the tranquility of this beautiful landscape. We know routes for everyone! Make sure you book your personal guided walk whilst you stay with us.
It’s a bit of a wild day on Dartmoor today, but still worth exploring and visiting! No matter the weather - our beautiful National Park has always something to offer.

Summertime means bee time! Once a week we check through our hives to make sure our busy helpers are all okay and still like to be with us 😉. It‘s a fantastic hobby and so interesting! Ask us if you‘re interested. We love to share our bee stories 🐝.

I took our guests on a sunset stroll across Dartmoor this evening. We sat a while on Brat Tor as the fading sun played with the clouds 😊
Have we ever told you that the Bedruthan Steps are our favourite place to be in Cornwall? It‘s simply such a beautiful spot - worth the effort of climbing every single step 😅😛.
