📣 Tyler graduated and is heading to college on Saturday. We are so proud of our son! We had a full ride scholarship and is going to bring his light to the world!

😭 Teresa has been in and out of the hospital this year and has required several surgeries. She is now wheelchair bound and waiting for her custom wheelchair to be delivered. She recently had a fall while trying to get casserole from oven is dealing with burns and pain. Due to fall, she will be having major foot surgery to repair the damage on 7/12. This should be her last and final surgery this year, 😭.

💯 As most know, James had a total left hip replacement last year. Shortly thereafter, his left one starting failing, but he managed through the pain for months. It is not to the point he cannot walk without device. He will be undergoing a right total hip replacement on 7/15, 3 days after Teresa’s surgery.

❤️ Due to this, we will extending our medical sabbical. We are trusting God and continuing course knowing neither of us can wait any longer due to severe pain. We have no local family or help and will be getting through this together. Our family has been through worse and this is just another speed bump that will be soon in our rear-view mirrors.

📢 Important Announcement, Update, & Promo: 💯 It’s no secret we have been MIA. This has taking over a week to write, so please bear with us. We wanted to take a moment to update our friends, family, and community here.

🙏 My wife, Teresa, has been facing some significant health challenges over the years with her disabilities and severe anemia, but this month has been extremely critical. Teresa has been in and out of the hospital and we almost lost her twice this month already. This could have been a very didn’t post and the thought of that is just terrifying.

🤧 She is now somewhat stable and has ungone several procedures, surgeries, and battling some serious health issues. She will be requiring weekly treatments, infusions, injections, and scans now to keep her body functioning, active, and for the foreseeable future. To make matters harder, after her last hospital stay, she has developed two blood clots, one traveling to the lungs and concidered a “pulmonary embolism” causing for her to return. Given this she is now on heavy blood thinners to resolve the clots and any others not-seen forming. Due to this medication, she now is not a candidate and cannot have the other two surgeries needed (one minor and one more major and causing heavy bleeding) for several months. Furthermore, this medication is causing havoc on her body and worsening her severe anemia. Her last stay alone she needed 4 units of blood (via blood transfusion) to keep her alive. Her body is so weak that she is now requiring PT and OT support on top of all of the other doctors and treatments. It has been overwhelming. She just helped Kayla and I get through our two year long health battles and surgeries, just to be fighting again. 😭

💪 During this time, Teresa has shown immense strength and perseverance, but the road to recovery has been extremely hard on her and our five children. We have been helping her fight, making major lifestyle changes, and have been MIA.
