Man, it’s been a month so far! But I have some exciting news! This Fall semester I’m returning to 😍 The last semester I attended was at the Boston campus over 10 years ago. I haven’t shared too much about my past personal life details. But one of the reasons I never returned back to Berklee was because my parents suddenly passed away both in huge unexpected & horrible tragedies. I was the last “adult” survivor (I was 21) of their estate at the time and many other things resulted because of this massive event that kept me from pursuing my own dreams. Even though I still pursued music and have been in the professional music industry since then as most of you know. I didn’t let that stop me. But it’s been an extremely long journey for me to pick the pieces back up and start where I left off with my life before all of that happened. And it feels so surreal and awesome. It’s taken me a long time to even believe in myself again. But I’m so excited to be going back in the ultimate pursuit of my Master’s in orchestration/film scoring from Berklee like I’ve always wanted 🥲 I know my parents would be really proud of me. They were my biggest cheerleaders/fans and always believed in my dreams of being a composer.
This time around, I’ll be attending and I’m honestly beyond excited! And of course, I’m nervous since it’s been a while that I’ve attended college 😬 But I can’t even express how thrilled and grateful I am to have the chance to learning from the best once again! It’s truly a dream 🙌

This has been what my days have looked like for the past few. I’m scoring two of my songs for a project I’m working on and I’m a bit rusty on some of the software details 😅 I usually write things by hand. But I can’t do that for this project. But I’m having a lot of fun with it! The next song I’m doing of mine, I’ll be recording it/making a video on it and showing what I use, how I do it, etc. So that’ll be fun to share once I get it all finished! 🎼✍️💜

Also just a quick reminder, I’ve been posting some videos to my YouTube channel so I wanted to give you guys a heads up that I just posted a vid today. It’s the full clip of a synth improv sesh I did in the style of what I’m calling “Westernwave”. The genre is obviously made up and just a little joke. 🤠😆 Lol. But it does have a sort of western synthy theme. A lot of my western style/ cowboy synth is inspired by Ennio Morricone. So if that’s something that sounds cool to you, go check it out! I’d love to know what you think of it! ✌️

Random post but thought I’d share my little life update with you guys! I just bought a new car/ had it delivered to me today and finished taking it for a test drive just now😎 I’ve been without a car for a few months and it has really sucked! Those that live in Texas know that it’s nearly impossible to be without a car in this state. I really love the car so far, especially the sunroof! 🌞 Anyways, just really thankfully to have a car again! 🎉

My M-Audio midi controller finally died. RIP ⚰️ I decided to replaced it yesterday with the Akai MPK mini. Ive been laughing at how much smaller it is to my M-Audio Controller! I’ve never actually tried anything made by Akai but I’ve always wanted to and I’m really excited about it. I haven’t had a chance to try it out yet. But I’m going to test it out soon! Also I love this special edition color combo they have! 👹

Photo dump of the past few weeks 🗑️ Sorry once again for being gone for a while. I’ve been moving! It’s been an insane whirlwind these past few weeks. But I did it! And I feel so relieved that it’s all over 💪
I have finally got kind of settled into my new apartment and I’m loving it so far! Also, I’m gonna be working on some music this weekend since this is the first time in a while I’ve actually had some proper downtime to focus on creating/ composing! I’m still resting from the craziness. But I’m excited for the future. Lots of great things to come ✨

Sorry I’ve been mia. I’ve been extremely busy with the moving process. I haven’t done a complete move in a very long time. So it feels weird. But also exciting. And I’m so ready for my next chapter. Saying goodbye is always hard. I’ve been crying off and on at the thought that I’ll never come home to this place again after today. It feels like a death of sorts. But like so many of you have reminded me, I know I will always have the memories I’ve had here and I’ll cherish them and take them with me 🥹❤️

Plus a little life update: Last week/weekend was insane… if I’m honest, this whole year has been insane! Lol. I’ve been a total mess these past few days from the chaos. Last week I’ve just been fully embracing my crazy, artist Tim Burton vibes these past few days (i.e. the 1st pic 😂) But finally things are starting to happen. As some of you know, I’ve been trying to sell my house for a long time. Since a little over a year. I made the difficult decision to fire my previous realtor and I’m so glad i did. Because my new realtor has been absolutely amazing! And as of today, my house is now under contract! YAY! It’s only been back on the market with my new realtor for less than a week! 😱 I had many issues with my former realtor. None of which I really want to get into. But I’m so happy things are finally moving. It’s always been a bittersweet thing to decide to move on from my home, since I’ve owned and living in this house for about 10 years now in Austin. And I know I’ll do a whole goodbye style post about it when I’ve actually official closed on it. But for now, it feels so great that things are finally moving in a forward direction! Positive things are happening. It’s been a whirlwind and just a lot to process. But I’m grateful for it all and today has been a good day 👏❤️

My migraine is finally completely gone & I’m incredibly grateful for clear headed days! But honestly, I’m already side eyeing this week like… 👀😎 Lol. It’s been a long one already & it’s only Tuesday! The work never seems to end. But thankfully I’ve managed to get myself into my music studio today & I’m cooking up some new tunes! Super excited about these. I definitely have the makings of a new EP peaking its lovely head around the corner 🕺🏻⚡️

Today’s the first day I’ve felt remotely close to normal this week from my crazy aura (ocular) migraine I’ve been suffering from. It hit me harder than any other migraine before. But I’m slowly recovering thanks to the meds that the urgent care gave me. Thank you so much to everyone who sent well wishes. It seriously meant a lo & really lifted my spirits 🥲❤️
Tonight, I felt well enough to actually mess around with my DFAM! I couldn’t do a whole lot but it was nice to get a chance to play around & have some fun🕺🏻✨

My new Synthpop single The World Is Yours is out today on Bandcamp! 💿 This is my first ever song I’ve produced with original lyrics and vocals by me as well. It also has special guest on drums! 😍 This may be a one off genre wise for me. We’ll see. Lol. But I was really inspired to write this one. And I really hope you guys like it! It’s still has the synthy goodness & is 80’s inspired. But it’s more along the genres of synthpop/ electropop in my opinion. Which is really different from my usual cinematic, atmospheric synth soundscapes I typically produce.

Man, I’ve had the most stressful couple of days… full of a lot of random curve balls. But I always tend to forget how stress relieving it is to just mess around & play some music. Last night, I practiced some saxophone and it felt so great. Mostly just some triads in my technique book. But I loved it so much! 😎🎷✨

In all seriousness… been having a lot of ups and downs this month. And for the last few months if I’m honest. Trying to deal with being a creative and also being a fully functioning adult is super tough. Lol. There’s such a contrast of the two dueling it out in my head constantly. I know it’s all apart of being an artist especially when you’re trying to make a living with your artistic skills. But some days it’s harder than others. And I’m having a weird one this week 🙃

How do you deal with the duality of being a creative but also needing to hustle and make money/ live a normal adult life?

I feel like I’m always apologizing for disappearing on my socials lol but things have been super crazy/hectic/ absolutely insane for the past few months… and I haven’t had the energy to do much of anything. But every time I’m away, I miss it so much. So I’m hoping to start posting more again. I randomly had some energy to do a mini photoshoot the other day. I try to force myself to do a photoshoot when I’m feeling really low/down about myself. I try to be my own hype man 😆👏
I won’t bore you with my life stuff, so I’ll say this… I have tons of new music coming soon. I actually have a few Singles & an EP that are almost completely done. Just a few things to add and I’ll be releasing a lot of new stuff soon! I’ll keep you updated on all of that 😎 I know I’ve been sporadic with posts so thanks for sticking around, you guys! It truly means a lot 💜

Said goodbye to my Yamaha piano today. It was sad to see it go. But I’m also so happy because it went to an awesome person who is really musically talented and I know they’ll love & care for it 🥹🙏
All things have to come to an end. And with every door that closes, another one opens as long as you’re receptive to it. It’s cheesy but that’s what I try to tell myself when things come to a close in life 🥲
I do have one last improv clip to share that I did on my Yamaha that I recorded on it before I sold it. So I’ll be sharing that sometime in the next few days as a sort of little goodbye ✨🎹✨

What’s your favorite analog way to listen to music?
I visited the record store the other day & just browsed around. And it got me thinking about this. How the analog music listening experience has been coming back for a while.

And I always see cassette tapes but I only have a sort of failing Walkman that’s not great. Lol. And I need a better way to play music on tape. Maybe a stereo/boom box? But I love admiring them for now.

I think my personal favorite analog way to listen to music is Vinyl. There’s something so personal & intimate about listening to music in that way. Sometimes it feels like you’re there in the studio with them with some of the older records.

I always feel like I have to disclaim some of these type of photos by saying… even though I have posted some feminine type photos… I’m really not super feminine irl 😂 I think some people think I’m glammed up on the daily & this is far from the truth. Haha. I just find it fun to get dressed up & do photoshoots. I’m kind of an actor at heart honestly lol & use photos to express different sides of myself. At my core, I’m just a nerdy, grunged out musician/composer most of the time. And today, I belong to the forever single’s club😂💔✌️

I’m going to be spending this Valentine’s Day with a few friends just hanging out & having some fun. What are you doing for Valentine’s Day? ❣️

Is it just me or is there something seductive about analog synths + dim, warm lighting? 🎛️ Really missing my analog synths this week & my studio setup. They’re currently all safely packed up right now. I’m waiting for my house to sell so I can move on to my new place. But I’m hoping I get some time to be able to use my laptop/ software to create something this weekend!

Hey guys! It’s been a while. I hope everyone has been doing well. I wanted to give a little update of the things that have been going on with me. I’ve been taking a break from my socials since my concussion in April which I’m doing so much better from now btw thankfully! The break was partially to recuperate & partially to just take a step back because of all the stress & everything going on in my life right now. And I haven’t had a whole lot of energy for anything but moving.
I’ve realized that one of my main stresses is that I’m moving from a house I’ve been in for about 7 years which is the longest time I’ve ever stayed in a house for my adult life… lol I hadn’t realized how much I’ve been rooted into this house I’m in currently. And it’s been pretty intense. All the packing, painting, repairing, donating/ getting rid of all the stuff I don’t want to take with me😮‍💨 but I’m finally done with the majority of the hard work & my house is going to be going up on the market this week👏 so I’m hoping that goes well & my hardwork pays off🤞It’s been quite an emotional journey because part of me doesn’t want to say goodbye to this place. But on the other hand I’m so ready for this drastic change in my life. I’m making this decision/move for a better future for myself. And I’ll be moving with the intention of finishing up my degree in Film Scoring/ Orchestration & I’m SO ready for this new chapter of my life to begin! It’s super exciting & a little scary. Lol. But currently I have to wait for my house to possibly sell to get that started with the official big move lol It’s all been a huge process. But I just wanted to let you guys know I’m still alive & well haha. And that I appreciate everyone who has reached out, asked me how I’m doing, stuck around & continued to show love & support for me & my music! I can’t thank you enough 🤍
