An evening send on hyperbola to rescue some gear that was left by a climber that fell, and broke their ankle.
Property recovery is also a part of rescue!

coined the hashtag “ “. He has taught many climbers through his online presence over the years and touched many more lives in the real world.
Here is Cody’s first tech tip that we shot in the Fox office in early 2015. I knew Cody would grow to be a great guide. But who would have thought he would have changed they way we all post on this platform.
Cody was very successful as a guide but succumbed to his struggle with mental health issues that he worked hard to stay on top of. It is important to understand that what we see online isn’t what is actually going on in someone’s life and that all these content creators are still real people with real problems.
Our thoughts are with his family as they mourn this loss.

What I look for in two piece anchors:

✅ strong pieces (10kn or more)

✅ well placed good fitting gear (probably overcammed, or constrictions where nuts can not be lifted out)

✅ solid rock

What are your thoughts on this anchor?

The Buggs were good!

Just spent a few days doing some guide training in the Bugaboos. There was a ton of snow which made routes I had done before way different and interesting!

The double quad top rope set up…

Clipping two strands for each top rope provides good separation and great use of a single two bolt anchor for two top ropes.

Falling…

How often do you go out and actually “practice” falling?

I ask a lot of folks how many lead falls they have taken and the number is astonishingly small. Like they actually know how many they have taken. If this is the case for you, you should start practicing falling!

Here is practicing some techniques he learned from clinic during a guides training for .

Redirected plate through a v-thread. Have you used this before?

This is a great way to get the rope down while also getting the middle of the rope in the thread.
