Yesterday was freezing cold! Even baby George's cow whiskers were frosted! Thankfully these guys were troopers!
When they arrived we were reliving their first shoot with me.
Can you believe that little guy was just a tiny baby? I remember it just like yesterday.
It has been such an honor to capture this sweet family over the past few years.

I just want to give a huge shout out to Allie, Jessica & Cami from Sleepy Hollow Golf Course for letting baby cow George come play with us during my Christmas mini shoots! Also to Erin Snell for her beautiful work on the ornaments and Jessica Rae McPherson for her yummy cookies for my client gifts this year! I appreciate you all! ❤️

Did you know Eclectic Wildlings - Untamed Photography is a Veterans owned business? It is! I joined the Air Force in 1998 and worked as a Medical Lab tech. My husband spent 28 years in before retiring. We are proud to have served our country and are thankful for our fellow Veterans. I also give a discount to our fellow veterans on any full shoots they book so don’t forget to ask for one! ❤️

I wrote this a couple of years ago about our struggle to get pregnant. This is my belly with our son after 14 years of trying. Our daughter came 14 months after he was born. 💙👣💗

I honestly had no idea there was a week dedicated to infertility awareness until I saw a friend who also struggled with infertility post a couple of years ago. She said it all so eloquently, so I’m just going to share our story...because it took us 14 years to get pregnant.
Chris and I knew we wanted babies from the start. We also had roadblocks (on both sides) from the very start so pretty much right away we started with infertility treatments. Pills, shots, procedures (IUI)....
When that didn’t work out it was a hard pill to swallow and we took some time away from all of it to just focus on us. We would eventually find our way back time and time again. Almost traveling to India because there might be a better chance!
Finally when we lived in Colorado we got the work up for IVF and all of the pre-procedures from one of the top fertility clinics in the country. We were basically told there was like a 5% chance that it would work and we would need IMSI with ICSI and in the end it would cost about $50k for that chance.
Talk about cards stacked against you. I was so irritated with my inhospitable uterus! We were right there and could have pushed the button, but we didn’t. I don’t know about you, but we don’t have 50k in our back pocket. The percentage was so small it would be a miracle if it worked and that’s what we would need anyway- a miracle.
It felt like God had other plans for us and we chose to be fulfilled in one another and left it in God’s hands. Years passed and I ended up needing surgery on my uterus totally unrelated (although I think it helped). The following year we were pregnant- naturally!!! It had been 14yrs!
Our son was born by the grace of God and 14 months later we were blessed with our daughter! Our two little miracles!! Talk about HUGE surprises!! Huge blessings!! I can’t explain how grateful I am to God for our beautiful babies.
For those that don’t know this struggle, it’s hard in so many different aspects. I was so thankful those 14yrs to have girlfriends that shared their kids with us. That invited us to their games, that let me throw them parties, etc. I never had any issues as some do with being happy for my friends that got pregnant- far from it!! I was so happy getting to spoil them and share in their celebration! I’m thankful to have not experienced that.
Instead I had feelings of unworthiness, I questioned it anyway. Did God find me unworthy of being a Mom? It was a fleeting thought that I couldn’t forget. Soon after, he blessed us with our two babies.
I don’t believe everything happens for a reason, but I do believe God has a plan. God’s plan for us allowed us to grow in our relationship, to have amazing careers, amazing friends and to travel the world. We were always thankful for all of those blessings but His timing is clear to see when we look back on them.
For my friends struggling with this- I get the frustration. The heartache. The “what do we do now”. The why not me. The how much is too much. The “Jesus take the wheel” moments. I get the awkward reactions and silence to trying again and again and again. Find the gratitude. Do good deeds for others. Aside from my husband that is what kept me smiling those 14 years. Enjoy the blessings God is giving you now in this moment during your journey to parenthood. If details will help in anyway PM me. I’m happy to share with anyone going through it. It was worth it all. THEY were worth it all and I’d do it all over again. 💗

You ever feel like your babies are growing so quick? Like time is slipping through your fingers like fine sand? That’s where I’m at right now.
You blink and they are an inch taller. A year older.
I want to savor every moment I have with them. I want to make memories in all of the every day things. I want to make sure they never doubt how much they are loved and cherished.
This is what I’m focused on. This is what my heart is capturing.
I’m not sure when I’ll be back to shooting again, but I do know I’m right where I need to be. ❤️

Whew! It’s been a crazy winter and definitely crazy past few weeks! We’ve dealt with illness and more illness, holiday chaos and these crazy wind storms! I took off until the second week of January but I definitely feel my family needs more time right now so I will be extending that throughout winter. The great news is that I have amazing photag friends that I can refer you to if the need should arise before I am back open and I am happy to do so! ❤️ I am so incredibly thankful to all of my amazing clients and I cannot wait to get my lens back on you!! xo
