Another market! just a few things this time, but hopefully more things for fall gardens in the next few weeks
Went on hiatus for a bit. But were back at the market!
4th of July weekend market! Still just got plant starts but hopefully soon have some tomatoes and squash.
Going to enjoy a long 4th weekend with the family! But corn is knee high at the 4th of July. So fingers crossed some barbecue corn is in our future.
Hello little tomatoes!
Cherokee Purple and San Marzano. Probably not enough to try and can this year but they will taste dang good in summer salads.
The musk melon is starting flower out! Can't wait to get some fruit.
After a long year plus away it feels good to actually see we might get something from the garden.
My dog Beulah fell asleep on her farm duties. I guess it's hard being a farm pup.
Eggplant flower! All my plants were thankful for the rain this weekend!
Triple crown blackberries! Had these for 2 years in the ground but they are out of control and need to be pruned. Glad to see a couple baby berries.
Another market on a cool Satudary morning. Starting to feel more professional and like I know what I'm doing.
Getting stuff ready for market this Saturday! Yes I did buy bright colored pots just for market!
Echinacea in bloom! Love these bright colored flowers. They're a good ornamental and medicinal addition to any garden.
One use is for bug bites. You will find me using this for bites all monsoon season.
Finally got hot enough for my radishes to bolt! Can't wait to have my little radish patch or spicy ground apples as my husband calls them!
Bolting means to go to seed. It is a good way for cooler annuals to produce little
patches on their own. Be mindful this is best with heirloom seeds/plants.
Lil baby serrano pepper!
Finally got some rain! I love how striking my black hollyhock looks against the gray sky.
Market number 3! New plants each week.
Melon family going to the big kid garden. Along with some sunflower babies.
First market! Starting small but we are starting!
We are now an official LLC! WOOHOO
After being away for a year and then some theres lots of projects, but that makes space for changes. Saying good bye to the hoop house that fell apart. Gonna amend the dirt and use the wood to rebuild a chicken roost.
