It was surreal to finally graduate, but getting this piece of paper in the mail really makes it feel real. This was another great delivery to arrive home to and open up.
I may be away, but repping my church! Love and miss my Resurgent Church family!

Very well stated by Pastor Ron Carpenter Jr. We celebrate freedom with a people who overcame great odds in this country. We are still, as a nation, striving to become a more perfect union, one nation, under God, with liberty and justice for all! 🗽 🇺🇸
Today, we celebrate freedom, resilience, and the enduring spirit of the African American community.
Let's honor the history, acknowledge the progress, and continue striving for equality and justice for all.
So you want to be a Pastor/Preacher? When the people sin they come to the altar on Sunday morning, say a prayer of repentance, and most often return to life as normal. The sin of the Pastor is laid bare before the world, and his life is completely altered.
In one day, you can lose everything from your home, livelihood, reputation, not considering the more important things like family. Even in Restoration the pastor and family are put on display, while critics who once said they loved them kick them while they are down.
Yes, the calling means we must be held to higher standards, but as a mere man or woman, you will never live up to the impossible expectations of people. Sadly, we only talk about the problems facing pastors when it’s too late and the fall has occurred. We need more prevention care, grace, and a place to go get help.
I know Bishop Wayne Dority has an excellent program to help ministers in TN. We need to shine a light on what is working to help keep ministers grounded!
Sorry for the long rant. This topic has been important to me my entire life.
With Summer travel beginning and many having to catch services online, here is a reminder of our ways to give. Thank you for your faithfulness and giving to God. We could not do what we do if not for your generosity!
Today’s Message: “The Fruit of Obedience”
A year ago I had the honor to preach for Bishop Jim Bolin at Seven Springs. This message was called, “The Great and Effective Door.”

Food for thought: Much of the younger years of our lives are consumed with self. We think of ourselves as self-less, but often our experience has not allowed us to live long enough to know what really matters in life.
In my 20s I mattered. I loved my family, and tried to sacrifice for them the best I could, but I was not wise enough to slow down from my own agendas to live in the moments that mattered with the ones that mattered most.
In my 30s I really believed I had arrived at wisdom. I thought I was doing things better, but I still mattered most. I do not think even in our 30s we fully get it.
I will be 43 this year, and I can say, the moments and things that matter most in my life are becoming more clear. However, as I write this, my 50s will probably show me how far off I still am from fully grasping the beautiful and important matters of life.
With every day and decade, what is precious becomes more obvious. While I still wrestle with myself, I realize at times I mattered more to myself than I should have. I see my babies (16, 13, and 5) growing so fast, and my biggest regret is I see with my youngest one the things I wish I had focused more on with my older ones, but I was still a kid back then myself.
I think this maturing journey may differ for men and women. Women tend to get it sooner than us guys. Maybe it’s a different journey for both. Regardless, I am thankful for what God through life, age, experience, and wisdom has taught me, and is continuing to teach me.
Tomorrow night at 7:30 pm. We can’t wait to see you there. There will be childcare for age 5 and under.
I had the honor of preaching our NW Section NJ
A/G Pentecost Rally tonight. This was a shot of the altar service as I was preparing to leave the stage. What a powerful move of God. So many people did not want to leave, but just tarried in worship. Thankful for all that God did tonight.
Hope to see to there at 6:00 pm!
