Just love Paddington. Going to read this with a marmalade sandwich.

Not a Xmas book advent without this one! So many activities can be done surrounding this book. ❄️

07/12/2023

A little light reading for today’s book advent. Personally I think it’s 💩 but the kids seemed to enjoy it.

Schools are always looking for fun, exciting and meaningful activities for their children at this time of year. Why not join me next Tuesday 12th December at 10am on my ONLINE Xmas poetry workshop! I'm going to be showing everybody how to write and perform their own Xmas poem- the perfect gift for mum and dad!

Practising spelling doesn’t always have to be pen to paper - dig out your scrabble box!

Today’s book advent is all about facing fears. Little baby not sure !

Mine love Bluey. Actually truth be told, I love Bluey. We play the game Verandah Santa - if you know you know. This is today’s book advent!

Next one from our book calendar. Notice a few of my books have been made into animations. A chance to cosy up with hot chocolate on a winter’s day.

02/12/2023

A classic! Day two of the book advent. Have to wait to watch the animation. Lots of opportunities to discuss why snow melts ? 😢☃️

02/12/2023

Sooooo many maths opportunities surrounding Xmas.
How many days till Xmas? How many days in December? Months of the year? Days in the month? Where is the North Pole and how far does Santa have to travel home? How many children do you think Santa has to deliver to? Organic conversations surrounding Xmas lends itself to maths.

Had to start our book advent with this one. A tradition in our family. Some see it as a curse but we love it!

Numicon scales are great for introducing the concept of equal (same as), greater than and less than.

I just love organisations like the who take time to enthuse the younger generations. My son loves anything to do with space so I wrote to the agency and they replied with a personalised letter, books, book marks and pens. One happy boy 😁
