Proverbs - Daily wisdom from the Word
We share light from Scriptures (Proverbs) everyday...that young men and women may learn wisdom and understanding on how to live wisely.
The Father's Heart
But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
- Luke 15:20
How much love do you have for sinners?
That may sound like a strange question, but it’s one I want you to think about today. All too often, once we get saved and get our lives cleaned up a little bit, we lose our compassion for those who are still lost. We look at the drunk stumbling down the street or the guy at the office who lies to the boss and tells dirty jokes and turn up our spiritual noses.
But if we ever truly understood the heart of our heavenly Father, we’d never do that again. Jesus told a story that can give us a glimpse of that heart. It’s the story we call the prodigal son.
You’ve probably heard it many times, how the son rebelled and dishonored his father, and how the father, in spite of it all, received him home with joy when he repented. But there’s one phrase in it I want to draw your attention to today. It’s this one: “But when [the prodigal son] was yet a great way off, his father saw him.”
That phrase gives such a moving glimpse of the heart of that loving father. It tells us that even before his boy had repented, even during those long days when he was up to his eyebrows in sin, that father was watching for him, longing for him to come home.
Every morning he scanned the horizon, hoping to see the silhouette of his returning son. And the last thing every night, he’d look again...straining his eyes in hope. His son was constantly on his mind, and his heart was always full of love for him. The kind of gut-wrenching love that, on the day his son came home, drove that father to run to him and kiss him.
That’s the kind of heart our heavenly Father has for those who are lost. It’s the kind of heart He had for you while you were still wandering in the world. It’s the kind of heart that embraced you with open arms even when you were still covered with the grime of sin.
There’s a whole world full of weary people out there who haven’t yet found that embrace. They’re more than just “sinners,” they’re our potential brothers...lost ones in desperate need of a loving heavenly Father. God forbid we should ever turn up our noses at them. May He help us instead to start bringing them home.

Your greatness not tied to your calling...
But to the actualization of the same...
God had our lives totally planned before we came here.
Discover His plan, align yourself to the same...then you'll never be ashamed...
James 4:17
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
Those visions, revelations, prophetic words, words of knowledge etc.. we received from the Lord are to be acted upon.
God was faithful enough to make His plans known to us. But we have push and pushed it till today.
The Scripture above says...to him that KNOWETH to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
Meaning if God had already told you what to do, the path to take, His purpose on Earth to fulfill and you KNOW it...but you're still making excuses, to you, is SIN.
And sometimes we wonder why things have not changed. We wonder why we're not making due progress.
Just look at this...
Proverbs 13:15
Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is HARD.
Jonah experienced that in the belly of a whale.
But you and I must not wait to taste such experience before fulfilling God's plans for our lives...
The grace required for your assignment sufficient. Just align with God by waking up and stepping out. HE WILL NEVER LEAVE NOR FORSAKE YOU.

Leviticus 6:12-13 (KJV)
12 And the FIRE upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: and the PRIEST shall burn wood on it EVERY MORNING, and lay the burnt offering in order upon it; and he shall burn thereon the fat of the peace offerings.
13 The fire shall ever be BURNING upon the altar; it shall NEVER go out.
DON'T LET YOUR PRAYER FIRE QUENCH.
RENEW THE FIRE EVERY MORNING.
Matthew 5:13
Ye are the salt of the earth...
How true is that?
Just think about how the addition of salt into our food changes the taste for good, so also our addition into any sphere of human endeavor is designed to bring positive changes in that sphere.
Please let's endeavor to add values to the people we meet in various places per time.
Happy weekend.
And it came to pass...
2020 came to pass...
The pandemic came to pass...
It shall be said of us that failure and shame passed with 2020...
AND IT CAME TO PASS THAT WE'RE ALIVE AND WELL TO GO INTO 2021.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
#2021
The Lord is good and His mercies endures forever.
We slept for 365 times or more in the year 2020, but He woke us.
We travelled through highways and strange places, He gave His angels charge over us.
We were hungry, and He supplied food to us.
We needed warmth and He put clothes on our bodies.
We needed money and He brought lots of it.
Listen, if I continue, it may take you many days to read.
All we can say is THANK YOU JESUS.
Colossians 1:13
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
LESSONS LEARNT
1. No one sees in the dark.
2. satan operates in darkness because he's a thief ( that's why God had to translate those who believe).
3. No man, no matter how wise or wealthy can see in the dark.
4. The reason for the translation is so that the thief will stop stealing, killing and destroying us.
If we can ask Jesus to come into your life today, then we can rest assured that every form darkness will be cleared off, giving satan no platform for his operations.
Shiloh encounters are for prepared hearts...
Get set for Word encounters...
Pray that God's Word will be revealed for your desired testimony.
Don't get worry why people do not understand what you're saying when you pray in tongues...
Look at what Paul said...
1 Corinthians 14:2
For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.
So simply tell men that you aren't speaking to them but to God and it not designed for them to understand because they're mysteries.
The Word of God in your Spirit is the energy of your Spiritual life.
Psalms 119 vs 11.
Mark 11:14
And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
LESSONS LEARNT...
1. It was a negative situation.
2. Every negative situation is putting forth a question(s) towards us. Because the Bible said, Jesus answered and...(remember trees don't talk. But the barren situation was speaking to Jesus)
3. We ought to speak to that situation having faith in God.
After your baptism with the Holy Ghost, you're the one that will determine how far you will go in your walk with God.
Yes He came, died, rose, ascended and now sitted at the right hand of the Father.
But know all of this won't bring salvation to any man or woman.
We have to deliberately in faith call on Him to save us.
Romans 10:10 -13, John 1:12
Jesus said "It is finished".
That's means alot to the ones who believe.
That equally means that the thief(satan) shouldn't steal from you again, if you accept Jesus into your life and learn to take authority against the devil.
But if you keep rejecting Him and His Word, you're actually empowering the thief(satan) against your life and destiny.
Serving God is the primary purpose for our salvation.
If I refuse to serve Him after salvation, my life is a waste.
Proverbs 29:1
[1]For people who hate discipline and only get more stubborn,
There'll come a day when life tumbles in and they break,
but by then it'll be too late to help them.
Doubts and fear will always challenge this Scripture..
Mark 16:18
"they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover".
This is because we most times see ourselves as the healer.
If we'll put forth our hands in faith looking onto Jesus the Healer...then the miracle is sure...
Praise God will right to use the powerful name of Jesus...
Proverbs 18:1-2 (KJV)
1 Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom.
2 A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.
Commit they works to the Lord and thy thoughts shall be established.
Proverbs 16:3
Proverbs 8:33
Listen to my instruction and be wise.
Job 14:7 (KJV)
For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.
It is said in the world that once there's life, there is hope...
But in God's view, it depends on certain conditions... as seen in the text above.
Look at verse 9
"Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant"...
The water there can be the Word of God (an encounter with Jesus).
So once there is life (the eternal life Jesus offers) then there is hope.
A man/woman without Jesus is hopeless...
