YESSSS! Spring is here! Spring bewitches us with her colors and sounds. She always comes all of a sudden, when we almost lose our hope, and then suddenly she fills our chests and veins with new blood, with new life! And we run, run as crazy to get enough of it, to witness the beauty of the world and to never forget it. But let’s stop for a while to contemplate!

Here is one more piece of music from our live concert in the KunstKring Ruurlo with the program “BACH…because”.
This song is based on the “Lamento der Freunde” from the Das Capriccio sopra la lontananza del fratello dilettissimo by J.S. Bach.
He dedicated this beautiful music to his older brother’s leaving to another city. (J.S.Bach was raised by his older brother because both his parents have died too early).
I chose a very beautiful poetry written by A.S.Pushkin “Bound for your distant homeland's shore” («Для Берегов Отчизны Дальней»). Pushkin dedicated this poetry to a lady he was in love with, who had to leave the place where they both fell in love with each other, but whom Pushkin didn’t have a chance to see again. This lady died from tuberculosis’ at a young age.
I translated this beautiful poetry and have put it on the music of Bach!

In een bijzonder project brengt jazzzangeres Dasha Beets drie grote culturen bij elkaar: Europese klassieke muziek, Russische poëzie en Amerikaanse jazz en blues.
Prachtige gedichten van grote geesten zijn door Dasha naar het Engels vertaald en worden gecombineerd met eigentijdse versies van stukken van Johann Sebastian Bach, die in deze vorm nooit zijn uitgevoerd.

In this difficult time I strongly believe in the mission of Music and Art to unite people, to spread love and affection, to soften the hearts and open the souls.
In my new album “BACH…because” I would like to share with you music that I nurtured in my heart for the last ten years. It is very dear to me because this music accompanied me in happy times of my life when I was becoming a mother, creating a family but also sad times of my life, pain of losing a family member during the war in Ukraine.
This music was giving me strength and hope, and I was giving it all my heart. Now it is time to let this bird fly.

I Love February!
Maybe because it is a bit wild! It comes with the wind and it’s gone with the wind! Maybe because February takes winter away and opens the door to spring, to new life, to new beginning!
I also love February because it’s my month of birth.
But this year I have one more reason to love it. This February I start releasing my long time carefully generated and cultivated project “BACH...because”.
It has been quite a journey working on it! Meeting beautiful people, learning, discovering and exploring... what a thrill!
On 25 February the first single is to be presented!
