Meaning: You sacrifice or destroy something of high value only to harvest whirlwind. You destroy valuable item in return for something whose value cannot be compared to the original item sacrificed or destroyed.

Nothing of value can be compared to the sacred human life. Therefore someone who killed fellow human being for money ritual is a fool because nothing of value can be attributed to human life. He ended up wasting precious life for nothing.

Go to the houses of all the 'Ọgịrịga ọwụwas, ndị ọgwụ ego of the past who were alleged to have killed for money ritual: their houses today are desolate, their children are useless and their wives have been taken over by other men. They never stayed long enough to even enjoy the money they killed to get. The wealth became illusion to them. They saw it for a while but could not enjoy it. It developed wings and flew away. They suffered one form of affliction or another before they died.
