This is “strype” a Prs that was given to me by Prs in 2003 . I was playing Gibson at that time , when I tried this guitar with my songs something clicked , it fit , the tone spoke . I gaffed it’s beautiful finish for no reason and gave it a red stripe with red gaffer tape . This is the sound of “head for the door “ and a modern way of living with the truth and spirits high . Why did I do this ? Simple . All music that I am a part of starts on acoustic guitar or piano . In that form it shows me what it is and if it wants to stay that way or evolve into something with other instruments. This song was always haunting and had a “tragically hopeful “ message at its core even though it’s in a major key . Most haunting songs are in minor keys so this made it more unique to my ear . It is my hope you re discover or shed new light to its meaning that when things are at there worst it comes down to your belief that you are right where your supposed to be . Thank you to and everyone for her amazing art . To for mixing the song . And to all of you for the encouragement in supporting the Exies in making new music .

Random as Fuch ! Ok , so last week sings with nickleback at Bridgestone arena for a song and meets backstage , who also did a guest spot with nickleback on his own song “sold out “ which fu***ng rocks IMO . They get to talking and chris sends me this picture with this quote….
“Hangin with Hardy” … I was telling him who produces me and he said verbatim “bro… I just heard a new Exies song… spirits high.. that song F**KS!!!”
I was having a bad day and this came at the end of that day …. You never know how you affect people’s life .. and all I have is gratitude that my little song meant something to Chris and Hardy . That , is as good as it gets 🤘🥹🙌❤️
