…smelling sweet about this time of evening…
Grown from seed - now 8’ tall 😮☺️
*Nicotiana ‘Woodland’ (the to***co plant)
Here’s a fun thing I did…and all the artwork on the walls by the very talented 4 year old son of the client 😁..
I’m liking the colour combinations of early summer in the ‘wild garden’…
Azalea just going over, Iris, Alliums, Lupins and Camassia’s in blues and purples, and Rose ‘Zephirine Drouhin’ opening up nicely ..
1 year ago today my website, page and Instagram were published.
Thank you for following, liking, sharing, and most importantly, employing!
More exciting projects ahead 🔜🤞🏼
However you say it, however you celebrate…wishing you a happy and peaceful festive season 🎄
Here’s a table-scape I put together at home (I’ve been collecting all these miniature buildings for some time…sprayed them all silver, added some foliage, trees and micro lights…and there you are!)
It’s that time of year…
Now making: handcrafted, personalised, holiday and seasonal decor.

Thanksgiving in 3 minutes!
So, dear viewers, I know we live in the Tic-Toc/Snapchat/can’t concentrate for too long era….but, that’s not me or you, my audience…
I’ve edited a days work into 3 minutes…and I hope you like it.
It was a delight to do - from the inception (choosing a theme, sourcing items/materials, spraying, gluing, assembling, etc) all up to the final install.
Everything was custom designed and much of it handmade.
Thanks to Margot (for allowing me to invade her home!) and to Sue for the heartwarming voicemail (which I’ve included in the video…so you can hear, in person, how it was all received).
I post this now because Christmas is up next - and I am here to create your decor, table settings, atmosphere and to make your celebrations extra special.
Thanks!
A Fall-Door, or a Door-Fall…
A Fall-Door, or a Door-Fall?…
…and this happened: a friend saw the shoes I made for James’s character and asked if I could do something with her ‘ugly but comfortable shoes’… so she sent them and, well, take a look …
Thanksgiving tables, wreaths and decor - made to order for your celebrations… go to the ‘Celebrations’ section of my website for more… and then contact me for whatever you need

Here’s one the raccoons didn’t get 🤪… was closed 3 hours ago, but the heats brought her out nicely: water lily ‘Lemon Mist’ (and now I’m going inside 🥵🔥🌞!)
….stop me if you’ve heard it before 😬
Dahlia ‘Fluerel’ - always a stunner with 8” blooms!
Butterfly bush (Buddleia ‘Miss Pearl’) doing her thing and bringing all the B’flys to the yard..
Lilies! Casa Blanca and Bafferari. Sunshine, showers and a little liquid seaweed….
Despite appearances and what some might think….we DO have colour in the garden - it’s in the front, where the wildflowers grow.
This is a really lovely Florentine Rose, giving us masses of blooms this year…. I think Elvis Costello sang it, didn’t he?… 10 points up for grabs 🤓👍🏼
…of an early morning…
…. Someone approves of the newly planted cat-mint (grown from seed and placed in amongst some grasses)…. Disney was having a good old munch. I suppose there’s a clue in the name! 😊🐕
A beautiful birthday-day…blue skies, not too hot, and a few nice things to see: archway I made from old tree trunks and shutters with Clematis ‘Henryii’, Rose ‘Sally Holmes’ and the great ‘Gatsby Moon’ Hydrangea; Hollyhock ‘Alba’ which I grew from seed and that’s now 5’ tall and opening gradually; yesterday’s visit from a dragonfly (12 spotted skimmer); and a gargoyle sporting an artfully landed Jubilee crown!
Don’t you love it when your Hydrangea ‘Gatsby Moon’ falls artfully into place onto your gargoyle?… obviously knows it’s a Jubilee weekend! 😁
We’ve had some tremendous thunderstorms which filled all the rain barrels - and brought out these lovelies: Clematis ‘Henryii’, which is having its best year, and Rose ‘Cloud-10’, with its incredible fragrance:
Holly Blossom + Bees 🐝😁♥️
It was 100o yesterday and set the for the same today 🥵😮…. The garden seems to have responded well to tornadoes on Friday and the sudden heatwave that followed….
Clematis’Eric Ruth’ showing off.
Rose ‘Sally Homes’ and Rose ‘Lace Cascade’ starting to open….
* not all white…the front garden is full of colour - this rose Zephirine Drouhin grows in part shade too. I put the Lupin seed in a couple of years ago and thought it had disappeared…love a surprise in the garden! 😁
*homemade Organic bug spray - always organic, never chemical 🫣 - garlic/washing up liquid/water: bugs cough and fall off, plants are happy👍🏼
The purple Iris was one of the only 2 plants that James’ mum had - I’ve divided it over the past couple of years to fill this ‘hot’ border along the side of the house.
World Bee 🐝 Day… ours come for the wild roses and other treats in the garden…. Help them - we need them.
+ a little beauty Queen on the azalea as I was just weeding in the front 😁
Today I’ll be mainly bricking it in the greenhouse…. 😮
So nice when a lovely client takes the trouble to hand write and post a ‘thank you’ note…. Always good to make people happy
Giant Snowdrops (Galanthus Major) and Bleeding Heart (Dicentra Spectabilis Alba)….but whatever they’re called, I think they look great here in the shade garden
It's been a busy Spring - and things are coming along nicely!
The 700+ bulbs I planted end of last year, doing well. A new Raised Bed for vegetables, seeds sown....
Enjoy!😀
