Blessing Her Project
This is a project to help collect and distribute feminine hygiene products to homeless women.
It’s been a while since I’ve posted but we are still making bags! We have started running low on supplies and would love to have you pray and see if the Lord would like you to help support us. I have updated the Amazon list of items and quantities needed. You can also donate to our PayPal if you prefer. Thank you for all of the previous donations and support. We have completed about 600 bags to date! The link to the Amazon list is in the comments below.
One of my 2nd grade students needed a community volunteer project so I introduced her to the Blessing Her Project. She was so sweet and asked a ton of great questions while making bags for us to distribute. Kids have a true heart for serving others that we need to nurture. She gave me a lot of new ideas for items that could go in the bags. Thank you my little friend for your help!!
Update!
New additions to our hygiene bags have finally arrived! Working on another 100 bags to go out this weekend. We primarily support women with hygiene and monthly feminine products; however, due to the current crisis, we have also provided general neutral bags to serve as many as we possibly can. Thank you for those that continue to donate to our ministry. www.blessingher.com
Preparing more feminine hygiene bags to be distributed this coming week. Everyone needs to know that someone cares and our goal is to help restore dignity to women. Monthly feminine hygiene products are something many of us to do have to worry about purchasing. We sometimes even buy in bulk! Many homeless and abused women, however, have little or no opportunities to get them. They aren’t covered by food stamp or Snap benefits, and are highly taxed. Instead women on the streets use newspaper, food packaging, leaves, and items from the trash to just manage. This creates illnesses, rashes, diseases and equally negatively effects their mental health. Help us restore hope and dignity to women. Link in the bio for more information. @ Cary, North Carolina
Making another donation to Embrace Durham from my church Catch The Fire Raleigh-Durham to be distributed tomorrow. Everyone in the family jumped in to help.
We had 125 hygiene bags and backpacks picked up by Wings of Armor yesterday!!! She was so excited to be delivering them to people that literally have nowhere to go. They cannot stay in shelters even right now. Cleanliness is PRIORITY right now as we try to reduce the spread of this virus. Thank you to all of you that donated financially and through Amazon orders. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ ps. One day we will get a fun picture together but for now...social distancing photos. Lol
So excited to share 125 bags with the homeless community that are sadly being turned away from shelters needing to limit occupancy because of this virus. We are emptying every possible piece of our inventory to continue to make more for the next week. Your support is very appreciated!!!!! Please see the Amazon and PayPal links in the comments to help.
We have been busy organizing and setting up an inventory system here at the Blessing Her Project. My daughter, Rachel, worked to empty this room and set up a whole system for us to assemble bags. For the quantity we are aiming to provide, it takes organization to guarantee cost efficiency! I have updated the Amazon wishlist with the most pressing items needed and will do that weekly. Check out the current need and please pray about how you could help support our project. The link is in the comments below.
Drawing is tomorrow night at 8pm!!! The link is in the comments below to purchase your tickets. My sister has generously donated an additional $100 in products to the basket so it’s now up to $350 worth of items from doTerra Essential Oils, including skin care products as well!! Don’t miss out!
Scored serious deals!!!
I cannot do anything but smile the entire time I assemble these bags! I think of the looks on the faces of these women seeing that people care about them. It’s priceless. ❤️ Delivering another bundle today to the Embrace Durham group! Thank you for those from our church, Catch The Fire Raleigh-Durham that help with distribution.
Putting together this week’s batch! Had an awesome donation this week that paid for so many items needed. It’s incredible how many people are stepping in and seeing this need.
Welcome to the Blessing Her Project! This is a charitable project that brings feminine hygiene products to the homeless women in our area. The need is so great and it has already begun to provide hope and relief to areas of our community. I am working to raise funds and collect supplies to create packets that are being distributed weekly. If you are interested in helping, please reach out or choose one of the preset options on our page through PayPal and Amazon.
