CONCLUSION:
Maaari ka bang magtiwala sa mga pangako ng Diyos kahit na ang mga pangyayari sa buhay mo ay hindi pabor sa yo? Maaari ka bang maniwala na ang Diyos ay may paraan upang mapanatili ang Kanyang Salita? Sa paglalakbay mo sa buhay, kahit maaari kang humarap sa maraming problema, karamdaman, at pagkabigo - ngunit tutuparin pa rin ng Diyos ang Kanyang mga pangako. Kinausap niya si Abraham sa ikatlong pagkakataon; Nakilala ni Abraham ang tinig ng Diyos, at sinabi, “Narito ako.” Mahalagang malaman natin ang tinig ng Diyos. At sabihin din nating tayo ay naririto at sa Kanya tayo ay mananatili kailan pa man.

Topic: DOING GOD’S WILL
Text: 1 Thessalonians 4:1-12

Pleasing God ought to be the major motive of the Christian life. Children should live to please their father.
The Holy Spirit works in our lives "both to will and to do of His good pleasure" (Phil. 2:13).

Pleasing God means much more than simply doing God's will.
Ephesians 6:6
Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but like slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart.

I. Walk in Holiness
- The will of God was for the Christian. Sanctification is to be set apart, and God wants us set apart from a godless culture and its sexual immorality. If our sexual behavior is no different than the Gentiles who do not know God, then we are not sanctified – set apart – in the way God wants us to be.

II. Walk in Harmony
- The word Philadelphia is translated "brotherly love." Because Christians belong to the same family, and have the same Father, they should love one another.
- We are "taught of God to love one another.“
- God the Father taught us to love each other when He gave Christ to die for us on the cross.
- "We love, because He first loved us"
- (1 John 4:19)
- God the Son taught us to love one another when He said, "A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another" (John 13:34).
- The Holy Spirit taught us to love one another when He poured out the love of God in our hearts (Rom 5:5) when we trusted Christ.

III. Walk in Honesty
- "Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life" seems like a paradox; if you are ambitious, your life will probably not be quiet. But the emphasis is on quietness of mind and heart, the inner peace that enables a man to be sufficient through faith in Christ. Paul did not want the saints running around creating problems as they earned their daily bread.

What is HOPE?
- Feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen, anticipation.
- Biblical Hope is built on faith. It is the earnest anticipation that comes with believing something good will happen. A confident expectation that naturally stems from faith.
- Is the confident expectation of what God has promised and its strength is in his faithfulness

IV. Enjoy God’s Answer v. 51-53

Faith is grounded in the reality of the past. Hope is looking to the reality of the future.
Hope makes our faith active. It gives us the drive to keep accelerating, to go out of our comfort zone and to step out and continues to take a leap of faith.

“but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.” Isaiah 40:31

- Establishing Gifts
(Ephesians 4:11and 1 Corinthians 12:29): Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, and Pastor-Teachers.
These gifts are used primarily for planting and growing churches.

- Supporting Gifts
(Rom 12:6-8): Prophecy, Service, Teaching, Encouragement, Giving, Administration/Leadership and Mercy.
These gifts are used primarily to organize and administrate the church so that it may best carry out its responsibilities.

- Ministry Gifts
(1 Cor 12:8-10, 1 Cor 12:27-31),
Wisdom, Knowledge, Faith, Healing, Miracles, Prophecy, Helps, Administration, Leadership, Distinguishing Spirits, Speaking in Tongues, and Interpreting Tongues.

These are the tools that the Holy Spirit utilizes for the ongoing ministry of the church.

What is a spiritual gift?
A spiritual gift is a God-given ability, distributed to individual Christians by the Holy Spirit that allows him/or her to work through their lives to help the church execute its mission on earth.

I. Discover your gifts.
- 1 Timothy 4:14

How do you discover your spiritual gifts?
First, you examine by studying each spiritual gift.
Then, evaluate what you’re good at. You can start by asking friends what gifts they see in you.
Finally, experiment by trying different things. Volunteering for different ministries at our church will help you discover your gifts.

II. Dedicate your gifts to God
- Romans 16:3
Maybe you already know your spiritual gifts, but you’re just not using them for the Lord. You’re using them for yourself.
You need to humble yourself and dedicate to the Lord every gift you have.

III. Develop your gifts

Gifts are like muscles: The more you use them, the bigger they get.
You can and should strengthen, develop, and grow any gift God has given you.

You get better at using a gift by practice, studying, and learning from other people who have the same gift.

IV. Deploy your spiritual gifts
What’s the best place to discover, dedicate, develop, and deploy your spiritual gifts? In a small group of other Christians, it’s like a testing ground.
