All of our features tell something about our stories and who we are. An accent or the languages we speak, can tell a lot about our personal growth and our inner journey. Languages and accents show our past, present and future and how we improving ourselves. Not speaking a language with what is the "standard" accent should not be something to be ashamed for or that stops us in expressing our voice. We are our voice, the languages we speak and their accents, that is wealth.
Speak freely, without fear of making your voice heard❤

A few days ago we had the onor and the pleasure to meet , linguist and writer. Clementine told us her story, her educational path, the difficulties and the linguistic challenges she had to face once she arrived in Italy.. In this part of the interview Clementine, based on her experiences and knowledges, explained us about some linguistic challenges that people who change country can encounter. However, she explained how these can be an added value, a possibility that is not given to anyone and that above all makes you a better person. Every language has its specificity, its particularity and learning a new language allows us to see the world with different eyes and this is what makes us, inevitably, better people❤🫂
MEDIA STORIES🗣
In this article Ruth Hogan tells us the Joyce Mann’s story, the Hilton Cluster Commercial Director. She started her career nearly 20 years ago in a small town in the UK; at that time she was the only Asian in the hotel and she faced accent discrimination episodes from some guests of the hotel.
These episodes of discrimination did not stop her, but rather made her even more determined to create a welcoming and inclusive culture.

In this article, Alondra Tamayo tells us also the Maria Rodriguez’s story and how she realized that having an accent doesn’t mean being less intelligent or less educated.

MEDIA STORIES🗣
Alice Temporin's story can help all those who do not speak English as their main language and are afraid to speak because of their strong accent. They do not feel the necessary support to be successful in their career, and for this reason they try to hide their own accent and roots.
What really helps is making peace with our own culture and learn how this could be a strength.🫂

Everybody has an accent and we all have a preference for certain types of accents, the problem arises when these interpretations become prejudicial and go affect the way that a person is treated.
Knowing these prejudices and automatisms can help avoid discrimination; that’s our mission.

Today, we'd like to extend a thank you to Ajla for raising a crucial point that often goes unnoticed: discrimination based on accents can significantly impact individuals in the workplace and during job searches. 🗣
Accents are a beautiful reflection of diversity, culture, and personal background. Yet, sadly, they can also become a barrier for many, leading to unfair treatment and missed opportunities.
Let's join hands to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected for their skills, talents, and unique voices. Thank you, , because your advocacy inspires us all to strive for a more equitable society.✨💪🏼
