Youth on the Move
Empowering teenagers and young adults to do hard things, have pure hearts, and make the world a bett
Check out today’s post about positive thinking. I’m going to try to start posting weekly again. Stay tuned friends!
“Change your thoughts and you’ll change your world” ~Norman Peale
Far too often we focus on the struggles we face, the more we think about the negative the harder life seems to get, it becomes a downward spiral and before you know it everything seems to be out of control. The way to get out of that slump is so simple, yet so difficult. Change your mindset, look at the positives, and soon you’ll say all the things going right in your life. This doesn’t take the bad away, but it does shine light on the good, which is all you need to keep pushing forward.
Never underestimate the power of positive thinking. I challenge you to take a few minutes (set a timer if you have to) and make a list of all the positives you can focus on right now. Here is a short list of mine
1. Because we are in quarantine, I get to spend quality time with my family before I’m off for college
2. Baby calves are everywhere 🤩
3. I have the best dog in the whole world
3. I have the opportunity to work my own cattle, and focus on my own business
4. High school graduation is in THIRTY FOUR DAYS!!
5. I have so many friends, family and supporters helping me through the good, the bad, and the ugly.
6. GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME.
Feel free to share your list in the comments, with sometime you love, or hang it up where you can see it every day.
Stay tuned for this weeks post about the power of influence!
This weeks post about Monday's and Mindfulness is up!
I know you don't want to hear a "Happy Monday" but it's so important to take advantage of this day. I was listening to a speaker, and he mentioned that Monday's were his favorite day. As you can imagine, this caught me off guard. Everyone hates Mondays. It's the day that you have to go back to work/school after having the weekend away. The reason that Monday is his favorite day is because it's a brand new start. The more I have thought about that speech, the more I have come to enjoy Mondays. This goes with last weeks post about mindsets. If you think that Monday is going to be a hard day, or you think that Monday will be the start of a good week, you are right.
My family is a morning family (this comes from being raised in Oklahoma). The faster we wake up and get our work done, the less work we have to do in the heat of the day. So why did I like getting up early and having a fresh start of the day, but didn't feel the same about Monday? There is no excuse. Monday is the beginning of the new week, and you can decide how you want it to go.
Being mindful of how your thoughts and actions effect not only yourself, but everyone else around you will change your actions dramatically. If you complain about Monday, you will likely start to feel down, instantly brining those around you down, however if you have a positive attitude towards the day and the week ahead, you will feel better, and others around you will reflect that. There is so much power in your mind. Use it to your advantage.
My challenge to you is to let this Monday be a good one. Embrace the fact that it's a new week, and make it better than last week. Make yourself better. Whether that means getting up early enough for a good breakfast, or getting in the right mindset to be productive and powerful. Be mindful that how you feel today will effect how you feel the rest of the week.Embrace the Monday!
This weeks post is up! Go check it out
Not a single day goes by that you are not challenged. Some are bigger and some are smaller, but they are all challenges we have to face. The issue is not the size of the challenge, it is how we handle it. Rocky Balbo says
"The world isn't all sunshine and rainbows. Its a mean and nasty place, I don't care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You...Me...Nobody is gonna hit as hard as life, but it ain't about how hard you hit, it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward."
I live by this quote. The only reason we will be able to get back up and move forward is if our mind believes we can. All of your power starts in your brain, and that sets the tone for the rest of your body. If you are going through a dark time, and you allow your brain to believe that you are never going to get out, you will struggle. However, if you stay strong mentally, telling yourself you will be able to overcome the obstacles in front of you, you will thrive. It all starts in your head.
I challenge you to control your mind, stay mentally tough, and believe that your challenges are temporary, but your strength will help you conquer the world.

Mentality is everything:
Stay tuned for this weeks post about mental strength
I’m a 17 year old senior. In high school I am active in 4H and FFA where I get to participate in conferences, listening to speakers motivate and inspire thousands of young adults. I have always loved listening to these speeches, watching motivational videos and reading motivational quotes. The dream of being a motivational speaker is one I’ve had for over 10 years, which led me into wanting to be involved in agricultural education. In the FFA creed, EM Tiffany states that he believes in the future of agriculture, I believe in the future of society. Many of us struggle with mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety, many of us struggle with living up to unrealistic expectations, weather that be too high or too low. Some of us struggle with our family relationships, others with friends, others even with substance abuse, no matter what obstacles we are facing, we are not alone, and we can GET THROUGH IT. Not only get through it but thrive because of it. My goal is to help others as well as my self get better instead of getting bitter.
I just wanted to share a little bit about myself and what gave me the idea to start this page.
I will post weekly challenges every week!
Dear teenagers, you have what it takes to change the world. You are not just a kid raised with the generation who has mental disabilities and easts tide pods for fun. You have your own brain, your own thoughts and ideas that can make this a better place live. We are currently recognized as a generation of immature children lacking in common sense. My goal with this page is to empower teenagers. We have what it takes to change who we are collectively, we just need to put it into action. WE ARE NOT JUST DEPRESSED TEENAGERS WE ARE WORLD CHANGERS.
I will post regularly with empowering and motivational content
