❗ Chronic acid reflux, or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), is more than just discomfort—it's a potential precursor to esophageal cancer. Recognise the signs: acid backwash, chest pain, chronic coughing, nausea and persistent sore throat.

Long standing reflux may potentially cause:
👉 Inflammation of the lower gullet (Oesophagitis)
👉 Severe long standing inflammation can cause narrowing of the gullet lumen (Stricture)
👉 Changes to the cells of the lower oesophagus, or Barrett's esophagus—patients with Barrett's oesophagus suffer a higher risk of esophageal cancer compared to the general population.

Safeguard your health by speaking with your healthcare provider if you experience any symptoms, early detection is key. 🔑

At 's D&D earlier this month, Co-Founder and CEO Dr. Lihan Zhou shared his insights on how Mirxes has made it this far.

• Purpose: From the beginning, Chairman Prof. Too Heng-Phon, Dr. Zhou Lihan and Dr. Zou Ruiyang are driven by a simple yet resolute goal: saving lives through early disease detection using RNA technologies. Even if it is just one life.

• Perseverance: The first VC funding took 600+ pitches to secure, the first regulatory approval required 7,000+ samples, and the public took 18 years to be familiar with RNA and PCR. Things were not always rosy.

• People: Chairman Too's 20-year RNA scientific pursuit combined with Lihan and Ruiyang's entrepreneurial drive 10 years ago laid the foundation. Over time, countless colleagues, partners and stakeholders have contributed to the Mirxes cause. It takes a village to build a brand.

Purpose, Perseverance, and People (3Ps) are key to Mirxes’s successes and milestones in the first decade of our existence. It is important that we continue to focus on these three pillars to propel us to even greater heights in the next decade.

🦷✨ Here’s your reminder to floss your teeth regularly amidst the CNY feasting!
Neglecting flossing can disrupt the oral microbiome, allowing harmful bacteria to grow. These bacteria may enter the bloodstream, potentially leading to inflammation and cancer development, including pancreatic cancer.

Chronic inflammation, linked to cancer progression, can result from poor oral health. This weakens the immune system's ability to control inflammation and combat cancer cells.

Regular flossing is crucial for maintaining oral health and supporting overall well-being. Let’s adopt good oral habits together, keeping your smile bright and supporting overall health. Take charge of your well-being today! 🪥💙

Navigating your healthcare journey may seem overwhelming, but fear not! We're here to guide you through women's health with clarity.

Pre-Appointment Tips
Your healthcare provider may provide specific instructions, like avoiding in*******se or certain products.

Understanding the Procedure
There are two primary methods - Pap smear and HPV test - being used. The Pap smear collects cells from the cervix, and the HPV test checks for the virus. 🧬

Speculum Insertion
A speculum is gently inserted into the va**na, enabling a clear view of the cervix. A spatula will be used to collect cells for analysis. While generally painless, some may experience mild discomfort.

Post Procedure
After removing the speculum, the collected sample is prepared for lab analysis. Your healthcare provider may share immediate observations. Results usually arrive within a few days to weeks. 🔬
