DID YOU KNOW that Danielle Hessler founded 212 Hockey to support minor hockey development right here in the Peace Country!?
Danielle grew up with skates within arms distance for the majority of her life. She played NCAA hockey for Manhattanville College and has since continued passing on her knowledge to others with a passion for the game.

212 Hockey is a hockey camp that brings in incredibly dedicated, skilled and passionate hockey players from our region to assist Danielle in coaching up and comers in the game of hockey. This full circle approach builds community while teaching these young coaches that giving back can be just as rewarding as the game itself.

Each year 212 Hockey makes a donation to HERo Hockey from their camp proceeds. HERo Hockey is a local hockey swag company created by Sexsmith's own hockey youth, Kennady Bruun, to bring awareness to female hockey and the HER in HERo. A percentage of the proceeds goes towards supporting females in sport, a perspective that Danielle loves to encourage and support!

AMAZING OPPORTUNITY FOR FEMALES

First Shift Hockey is leaving space for females to join up for the First Shift Grande Prairie Sessions 2023 – 2024.
Players will get full equipment, six weeks instruction before Christmas and six weeks instruction after Christmas for $ 299.00. Ice times are always Wednesday nights at 5 – 6 pm at the Design Works Center.

SPOTS HELD FOR FEMALE HOCKEY PLAYERS - but those will be released to those waitlisted if not filled in the next few days.

PLEASE SHARE so we can get as many female hockey players starting as possible!

HUGE! The expansion of the female game in so exciting!!

Congratulations to provincial champions, the U13 Female A Knights, on being nominated for the Team of the Year at the 2023 northwest Alberta Sport Excellence Awards.

Junior coaching this past week at the 212 Hockey camp was so much fun! We all learnt that coaching isn’t always easy, but so fun & rewarding!
Coach Danielle Hessler gave us junior coaches a chance to learn that hard work & passion always pays off.

This part is pretty amazing, so keep reading….also, for each registrant in her camp she donated towards our Hero Hockey Fund with a HUGE final donation!!! Her generous contribution is going to help SO many local girls enjoy being out on the ice this upcoming hockey season.

Where are all my girl goalies at?!?
This is my 8 year old sister Blake on the far right hand side. She has taken on the love of goalie & despite being in U9 , she decided to jump right in & attend a goalie camp. She showed up the first day feeling a little timid. Most of the kids towering over her, quite a few years older than her, they all seemed to know what they were doing out there & jeesh, some even had facial hair! She just put her gear on & soaked it all up! The big reason was this picture. Out of a group of about 20, this is how many girls were in attendance! They were from all over. Fort St.John, Kitimat, Hay River & some local girls too. Blake was pretty proud to be a part of this group & be one-of-the-girls for the week! Keep up the amazing work goalie girls 🥅♥️🥅
