All of my jewelry is designed and hand fabricated by myself in my home studio. I work mostly in sterling silver, incorporating gold, precious gemstones, enamel and lesser metals in certain designs. I tend to like a simplicity in both line and structure, and am told by my customers that they find my jewelry both"different"and "unique".

07/31/2020

We are back from our extravagant globe trotting expedition to uncover fantastic new artists for you! We did not find any, so we are going to present 2 excellent local artists!!

The first one is an exquisite jeweler and the other is someone you might be familiar with.

Stay tuned tomorrow for another episode of the Drive-Thru to find our what the heck we are talking about.

matted and framed size is 16 x 20.

07/12/2020

We started The Cleveland's Starving Artist's Drive-Thru on April 26th with our buddy Scott Pickering as our first Artist. Since then, we have featured a new Artist every week.

Sometimes the Artist sells everything, sometimes they won't sell anything. We don't pay rent for a gallery, utilities, etc. Because of this, we only take a small percentage of the sale. We enjoy feeling that we are helping the Artist keep more money in their pockets. The Arts are important to us and to the world, especially in these trying times.

We hope you have enjoyed seeing the wide variety of Artists on this page. We will always feature diverse people. Just because you do not have a degree in the Arts does not mean you do not have a passion for Art. It is important to us to feature all kinds of Artists. Everyone deserves a chance. Cheers!

07/12/2020

Here is a good example of how the pandemic has interrupted an artist. David Treat had plans to exhibit his photos this year in Tokyo and London.

This week's artist has an interesting story. Dave Treat discovered photos that had been sitting in a shoe box 40 years after he took them of Cleveland's legendary DEADBOYS. These were mainly promo shots for the band.

We are also including the book that Dave put out that features many of them.

The prints are signed and framed.

*We hope to have higher res images for the daily posts this week.

07/10/2020

Here are the last photos of the week. This is a set of 10 5"x7" photos that can be hung in any fashion you might like. The set is titled "Bicycle" and listed for $200.

Please scroll back to see all of the work from Chris that is available. Please message us if interested in any of his pieces.

Once again, here is his bio:
I earned my B.A. in Fine Art from Kent State University in 1996.
I earned my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Cleveland State University in 2006.
I started teaching art at Glenville High School in 1998.
I started teaching art at Brooklyn High School in 2001 and that is where I am still teaching.
I was a board member of the Cleveland West Art league from 2007-2017.

For this body of work I used analog photography found in thrift stores and antique stores. I choose image I feel are still relevant in their messages being social or political or even nostalgic. I manipulate the scan ignorer to add the distortion, I then have them printed on large scale metal plates. There is no other manipulations, I like that you can see the rips, stains and history of the photography. There is a floating system attached to the back of the plate for easy hanging.

One of a kind

Photos from Cleveland Starving Artist's Drive Thru's post 06/29/2020

We are in between featured artists this week, so, we are going to do something a bit different. The pieces this week are woodprints made by The Foundry Woodprints. Nostalgic imagery from Cleveland's past.

The Roxy Burlesque was a hot spot in the early 1930's in downtown's Short Vincent area.

Both of these boards are original adverts. They have been manipulated and printed on birch. Sold as a set.

Virginia Bell
15" x 22.5"

Maria Fredericks
20" x 23.5"

The set is $150

These are ready to hang.

Artist’s Drive Thru!

When life gives you lemons you make lemonade. We think ART is important! During these tough times, we found a fun, safe way to keep ART alive! Every Sunday, we post 5 pieces from a Cleveland artist. M-F we post the individual pieces with price and size. If you like what you see, contact either the artist or this page. Every Saturday is pickup day at our Gordon Square studio. Once you pay, we will give you a time slot and our address. When you are close, send us a text and pull your car up to our lot and we will place the piece in your car. No need to even get out! Payment can be made by Square or Paypal with the artist. We are trying to make this as safe and fast as possible. We also understand that ART is a luxury to some and may not have the available funds like they did even a few months ago. Because of this, in many cases, much of the artwork you see is at discounted prices. We hope to eventually feature different artists, but, for now it is Jim Lanza, and Scott Pickering. If you are interested in being a featured artist, contact us.
