My Business Story

Like many people, I came from a dysfunctional family.

My beacon of light in the darkness was the queen you see above. That’s my sister Debbie.

Debbie was taken far too soon by ovarian cancer in 2016.

During that time, I was very inspired by her strength as she battled her condition.

Needless to say, she had her ups and downs.

One of the downs was when she lost her hair.

One of the ups was when she found a wig that she felt looked natural.

The downs far outweighed the ups. But it was amazing seeing her perfect smile peek through the clouds every now and then.

As this company was formed, I thought of the amazing person who taught me how to ride a bike. The one who always seemed to manage a smile. The one who practiced with me when I was struggling with soccer or baseball. The one who enjoyed hearing about others instead of talking about herself.

I think about Debbie every day. I think about how amazing she felt when her hair looked nice. As a result, I thought about how I can serve the community of women who are seeking quality hair. Maybe I could do something to make them feel great just as my sister felt.

This store is for any woman who wants to feel magnificent before a big meeting, girl’s night out, a new date, a job interview, or the start to a challenging week. This store is also for any woman who wants to treat herself because she knows she deserves it.

As an African American-owned business, I genuinely want to help my community. I would like to think I can do this by helping women look their best!

My mother and two sisters have shown me how challenging society and the world can be even for the strongest woman.

I hope this store can be used as a resource to aid you in the daily grind of life.
