This week, we kicked off the summer with a series of Memorial Day luncheons at each center. We enjoyed tasty seasonal favorites like BBQ chicken and potato salad.
OAN members are embarking on an exhilarating dance journey hosted by the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater ! Guided by seasoned instructors, participants are engaging in weekly immersive dance lessons and a special workshop on West African drumming!

Mark your calendars for June 7-8 when the Older Adult Network takes over Greenwich House Theater!
The first night will feature a gamut of creativity, from poetry readings to stand-up comedy to musical performances! Members showcase their creative talents as part of our annual Open Mic Night!
Then for the following night, catch a tour-de-force double billing! Join us for an interactive play by Theater for Change and a new dance piece from members of our Les Ballets Trockadero class.
Students enrolled in our Intertwine Arts class are learning a variety of weaving techniques, utilizing looms with wooden frames and DIY equipment. Join this class every Friday at 10 a.m. at Center on the Sq. Many thanks to SU CASA for making this special program possible.

Last Thursday, OAN members that participated in the Spring Art Program had their artwork exhibited at the musuem as part of an exciting culminating celebration! Program Director Laura was a featured speaker at the event and expressed our abundance of appreciation for the Whitney and our community partners that make special collaborations like this possible.
Thanks to for distributing over 4,000 lbs of free fresh vegetables and fruits to 500+ New Yorkers, including older adults members! 🌍🍎📸

We’re looking for singers, dancers, martial artists, comedians, actors, poets, and more to participate in the upcoming Talent is Timeless citywide talent show initiative presented by ! On June 13 from 2 - 4 p.m., Center on the Square will host the first talent show with special staff judges. The winner advances to the next round at another older adult center. An important heads up to all our members! Just for tomorrow April 25, all Greenwich House Older Adult Centers will open a little later than usual at 10 a.m.
The following day, we’ll resume our normal hours at each location. Plan your schedules accordingly and we look forward to seeing you!
Fresh off their stellar show at the Biennial, our Older Adult Choir is on a hot streak! Sunday's performance for Councilmember 's State of the District address was another one for the books!
Independence Plaza is in full bloom showcasing their spring vibes! In art class led by Terri Lopez, members created a beautiful garden of colorful flowers, with no water required!
Exciting News! 🌟 We're teaming up with Alliance to showcase the amazing talent of Greenwich House’s older adult artists! We're looking for one artist from each center to feature their artwork on an electrical box panel at Astor Place/Cooper Union!

We celebrated today's extraordinary celestial occurrence with an eclipse viewing gathering outside Center on the Square! Equipped with our safety-certified glasses, we came together as a community to witness this rare event!

It’s and our centers are teaming up as part of the city-wide initiative, Big Apple Walk-A-Thon! Members will compete to accumulate the most steps by the end of August. Each borough’s older adult center with the highest step count will win an award!
In the spirit of St. Patty’s Day, members enjoyed a hearty meal of corned beef, cabbage, red potatoes, Irish soda bread, and cupcakes.
