So many in today’s society with this mindset. I get it, not everyone has a clear understanding of what they need to do to put themselves on the path to health and wellness - Wellness is a lifestyle and achieving wellness may require a lifestyle change. Confession: I can sometimes be super hard on myself even though I know better. Ugh 😫 that negative self talk creeps in and it feels like I can’t shut it up. So today I am going to try and show myself a little more grace.

You don’t look sick. 4 words I hear fairly regularly. And to that I say THANK YOU!! I work really hard at taking care of myself. Making sure my nutrition is in line by avoiding foods that contribute to inflammation. Drinking half my body weight in ounces of water a day. I get plenty of rest, even if that means I go to bed at 7:30 - I listen to what my body is trying to tell me. I try and get plenty of physical activity, being careful to balance it just right so I don’t overdo and go into a herx. I try and keep my stress in check - this past year that meant I took a step down at work and cut back my hours. I cannot express how important it is to listen to your body - it tells you things all the time but most people do not listen and end up wreaking havoc on their systems - lyme or no lyme.

Guess who just finished 80 Day Obsession??!! This lady right here 🙋‍♀️. Whoop Whoop!! It took me longer than 80 days but I am thrilled with my results! I lost a total of 10 lbs during this program and took my fitness to the next level. I gained confidence in my physical ability to do hard things- it wasn’t always easy and there were definitely days I had to talk myself into doing my workout but am so proud of myself for powering through!! I have muscle tone and definition in my legs, glutes and arms 💪🏻💪🏻which were all areas I have struggled with in the past. I’m looking forward to starting a new program this coming week to continue with my progress. Are you looking for a program to help give you the results you are after? Yay!! It felt so good to get a workout in today. It’s been about 2 weeks since my last workout due to a variety of things. Life with Lyme - never a dull moment 🤷‍♀️. Back at it and loving it!!

Flaws are important, they are a daily reminder that we are human. In a world that moves so fast we often get so wrapped up in the grind of life that we see our flaws as an interruption and inconvenient. It’s in those moments that you lean in and wholeheartedly embrace all that is within, flaws and all.

Some days it’s all about the hush. Going about your daily routine quiet in thought and prayer. Sometimes the clutter of noise becomes overwhelming and I crave a shift into stillness. Thankful that today was calm and quiet and allowed me the opportunity for reflection.

A work in progress each and every day. The process isn’t perfect but the outcome should be perfectly you. Every day we evolve and we change our minds and we figure out better ways to be kind to others and most of all ourselves. It all starts with having the most pure and loving self acceptance. We are going to mess up, it’s the human in us but we learn through each and every experience. Every day we struggle, we fight, we love and it molds us.
