"Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And, by opposing, end them?"
- Excerpt from Hamlet.
We should try to avoid invalidating someone else's pain or emotions, as we don't know what they are going through.
Instead, we should try to see things from their perspective and respect their experiences as valid and meaningful, even if they are different from our own.
What may seem small to one person can be a big deal to someone else. Avoid making assumptions or judgment about their experiences.
Holding my phone with its spiderweb of cracks, the light illuminates my tired eyes. Another day spent scrolling, hoping for a message that pops with your name, not just another TikTok notification of a follower who liked my video.
Each notification dings like a dropped coin, sending my heart into a frantic tap dance. But it's always just the usual suspects – WhatsApp Messages, Snaps from Joe, or emails.
My thumbs hover over the keyboard, crafting witty messages that may end up as "Hey there, lol". Maybe I'm overthinking it.
Right now, my heart feels like a deflated balloon, yearning for your next message to inflate it back to life. Butterflies? More like a whole zoo escaped in there, a chaotic stampede every time I think of you.
This feeling... it's like the joy I get when you unexpectedly show up on my chat list and I see a green dot.
Yep, officialy diagnosed, with a case of serious social media daydreams about you.
I love to see the lineage.❤

I’ve wasted so many opportunities and chances by being shy, awkward and the fear that stops me from achieving all the things that i badly want to pursue. when an opportunity comes along, i’ll automatically think that i can’t do it & the fear that i might just fail. And disappoint myself even more. 🌻

At this point in my life, it doesn’t matter how much I love you, how long I’ve known you, —how much we’ve experienced together. If I feel a way about your actions, I’m gracefully removing myself from your life. I can’t change anyone and I don’t want to. I’m noticing now more than ever how people move and there’s just certain things I no longer want to put my energy into. People do exactly what they want regardless of your feelings, advice or opinions. Some people don’t notice your impact until your presence is no longer at their convenience. ☕️

Probably, one of the nicest feeling is being treated right. someone who accepts you wholeheartedly despite seeing how messy you are, someone who understands you and is willing to take risk just to be a part of you. someone who's little things mean the most to you, someone who can understand your silence.
That's where your heart and happiness belong. 🌱

MEET MAURICE (MORRIS) BUCKLEY - A Lucky Sailor
Some time ago, follower Terry Mason Brooks sent me a package full of wartime family artifacts.
One item that piqued my interested was a clipping from a Missouri newspaper called The Tarkio Avalanche sharing a "This Day in History" moment.
Here is what the article said:
"June 26, 1942
Maurice Buckley, 19, seaman first class, visited the home of his aunt [Terry's Grandmother Brooks] in Tarkio. Buckley has seen action in four battles since the war started. Twice the 19-year-old sailor was forced to swim from a sinking ship to save his life. His ship [the USS West Virginia] was sunk at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, and he was forced to swim to shore through a great deal of oil. He was transferred to the aircraft carrier [USS] Lexington, which saw action on February 20 and March 10, 1942. But on May 7, 1942, Buckley was three decks below near the center of the ship when the first torpedo struck. Four more hits and one big bomb and a subsequent explosion and fires caused by the damage sunk the ship. Buckley slid down a rope and swam to a whaleboat that picked him up."
You'll be happy to know that the young Mr. Buckley survived the war, married, and had a son. Lucky for him that he was such a good swimmer! Watch for a post on Wednesday that will include a first person account of the sinking of The Lady Lex.

RIP your majesty, Queen Elizabeth II of England💔
Don't go apologizing to someone under the umbrella of “ I've already apologize, he/she has to forgive me.” It doesn't work that way.
Saying sorry is something the other party has to accept. It takes time for some people to accept an apology. Apparently, “saying you're sorry” doesn't cut it for some. This is because they've been hurt so many times and people who hurt them, keep apologizing to them constantly and now it's no longer of matter of saying sorry.
You hurt someone over and over and over again and you expect that person to accept your apology all the time, it doesn't work that way. He/she may need time to think, and this thinking process could be hours, days , months or even years.
Some of you just say sorry without actually being sorry, thinking the offended would accept the apology.

A Dark Thread on Spongebob.

His father abandoned him and his mother, who were always poor. When he first discovered money, he became obsessed with it. He and his mother eventually gained thousands of dollars. His mother eventually died of natural causes in 1884, at the age of 72.Eugene went to the navy shortly after, and died from drowning in the ocean after jumping off the battleship to swim to a chest of gold on an island in 1899 at age 58. The ship was blown up shortly after.
2.SpongeBob was born in 1936. He was always friendly to people, even people who bullied him, as they often did. When WWII was hitting full swing in his hometown, his parents sent him to Bikini Bottom when he was only 5 years old in 1941.His parents were killed by Hi**er in 1943. He didn't have many friends. But he always looked at the bright side of things. Sadly, he developed manic depressionHe was an early drug user. He began thinking things were there such as voices and people, but they really weren't. As a result, on his 21st birthday party in 1957, he overdosed on drugs. His fake friends were at his side. His cat Gary starved to death a few days later.
3. Patrick was born minutes after SpongeBob died. He fell off his bike when he was 10 years old and developed brain damage. His only friend was SpongeBob's ghost. He went to a special aid class because of the brain damage. One day, he was having a moment of stupidity. He drove his bike off a hill and died at age 18 in 1975.Sandy was born in Texas in 1978, and moved to Bikini Bottom in 1985. She was a very good student, and science was her best subject. My First Day In The University
I remember telling my mum that I was super excited and thrilled to begin, after the long wait at home due to the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike. It was almost as if it was never going to end.
I took up some, coding classes, learnt JavaScript and Python, during the strike. Yup. I'm that nerdy tech bro, in love with technology and it's amazing characteristics. I applied Computer Programming and was given admission, which was a big win for me because mum never understood why I was obsessed with it but she let me.
It was a week away before resumption, and I thought about how it was going to be all shades of new, new environment, new people, new learning processes. I met beings, with different attitudes and culture from every nook and cranny of the country. Surprisingly, there were few foreign students. I kept counting down, striking off each day that passes on my calendar.
As a fresher, I underwent registration processes, which was hectic and tiring by the way. I had almost gotten into a boisterous argument with some guy who eventually became the course rep of my class. That aside. I'd love to tell you how biased the level coordinator was, but not today. It was easy for me to be assessed than others because Dad had underground connections with the man. I knew a fair pretty looking lady whom the level coordinator said to her “I will not activate your profile” just like that. I felt so sorry for her. The feeling was like being accused of something you didn't do. I heard ill luck befalls many people are fair in complexion in my school. It happened to three freshers that day.
As soon as you're done with the level coordinator and your profile has been activated, the ball is in your court to choose when to resume. You can be done with the level coordinator and you may still not have a student profile, that's the level of how foul it has gotten to. I decided to begin the next day, because mum didn't want me to miss lectures.
I packed my new freshly smelling hard coverbooks in my bag. “Okay, This is it” I said to myself. The uniform years are finally over, well except the school changes her mind. No more socks, ugh, so annoying. I get to take my phone without hiding it, not to forget my ear blasters. “Oh! Kill me.” I was on cloud nine, I felt so free and for the first time, I never had to bother about unruly teachers punishing students for late coming.
I decided to skip breakfast, because I was too animated to eat. But mum insisted that I do. In her words “no be you be the first pesin to go university" I hurried my breakfast, jumped into mum's car. She ignited the car, began driving and started her pep talks before I could put on my ear blasters to listen to music.
“Keep good company, associate with everyone but not everyone” whatever that means. “Please try to be on your best behaviour, avoid asking questions or making lecturers feel stupid, just like you do in high school. I know this is me talking too much , but just be you, apply wisdom.”
The car came to a halt, I took my eyes off my phone and realised that we had arrived our destination. “Have a lovely first day, I love you” I placed my hand on the door’s handle to open, but then I froze. There were many people than I expected, literally everyone from everywhere. I had paid less attention the previous day. I vividly remember the sun shining directly into my eyes , as I took a glimpse above to see the name of my school boldy inscriptioned on the gate.
I heard mum asking me to go ahead, but I was lost in the moment, I heard her faintly . I couldn't move anymore, my heart tripled it's beat, I began sweating profusely.
‘Are you okay ?’ Mum asked.
I felt sudden uneasiness in my stomach, I immediately developed a fever. I kept looking at the school's gate. It was a good thing mum parked outside. I saw older people, people my age and even younger. I couldn't fathom what was happening . The car became hotter even with the air conditioner on. I needed to breathe, my bladder was tight, It wasn't long after before I forcefully opened the car and threw up. I had seen dead bodies with flies partying , just in front of my school.

8. It starts slowing at around 24 years old. Research shows that the cognitive speed of your brain starts slowing down when you're around 24 years old.
9. 95% of all decisions are subconscious. This means that the vast majority of our actions and behaviours occur due to the brain activity that lies beyond our conscious awareness.

I hope you find a soul mate who is genuine.💘
Sigh!
He was the brightest, sharpest, most handsome and the most intelligent amongst his peers. A global icon and super star. Anyone who had a chance to see or meet him were always excited, it was an achievement to them.
"Yes, I have finally met him" They'd say.
How pleasant it was to see his name on every social media, on bill boards and national television. It was always about him touching the lives of people.
"Here comes, the one and only phenomenon" He'd be introduced to a massive audience. So much honour and love for just one man. The way his presence graces the atmosphere, the screaming and shouting of his fans, the fights between ladies pulling their hair just to get a selfie with him. He was envied and also cherished by everyone. Many wished they could have this kind of life, living in wealth and success.
But never had they known that he was dying within. His social life was a disaster,he never got one who really loved him for him and not his fame and money. He would return home every day to face terror from his aunt. Go out the next morning wearing a fake smile, pretending he was on cloud nine, after the hell he went through at night.
He prayed for this kind of life, but not like this, he wished for a normal life, a life without pretence, a life without the paparazzi. A life with actual friends and a true love. He was was deeply hurting within, he lost his parents to a fire accident at home, when he was five. His aunt adopted him and he was sexually assaulted at age ten, that was where it all began. He was constantly maltreated and beaten to stupor. You see that scar above his left eye that made him look hot and sexy? His aunt gave him that.
It was a continuous case of sexual abuse he faced daily, even at this age. He really wants to talk to someone about it, but one time he did that his aunt spelt "DON'T SPEAK OUT" on his back with a broken bottle. By the way, she was the one who made him famous as she was already in the industry before. A serious threat was give to him on never to tell anyone.
He became one with alcohol, he talks to himself oftentimes, the public now sees him as a lunatic. Making them want to ask the billion dollar question "what went wrong?" It wouldn't be long now before he ends his life and there after his posters everywhere. Only the spirits within the walls would know that silence had killed a "KING AND MORE"
